Who owns goth culture for it to be appropriated? its a subculture based on punk and horror films in London, not ethnic or cultural?

Even the original punk and skinhead culture was multicultural

^ I think you missed the facetious levity.

Incidentally in 2015 I attended the Skenfrith Beer Festival: one of the members of the Morris Dancing troop (The Widders) was a black woman.

In Blackface.

Above in this thread we all just got through talking about the movie "White Chicks" by Wayans Brothers.

But as I said above that one time is pretty much the ONLY time anyone can recall of Black performers doing "Whiteface" in the racial sense (which is not the same thing as Marcel Marceau doing "whiteface" with a lowercase w).

I guess I'm behind the times, as I've never heard of Afro-Goth.

^ Yeah, the intertwined goth/metal thing is a weird one in that regard: probably has more openly racist performers than any other music scene... but at the same time is present across pretty much the entire globe.

You haven’t lived until you’ve seen a bunch of teenage Indonesian girls in full burkas get their death-metal thing on

One more famous "whiteface" was iconic Teddy Perkins in the hit series Atlanta
