It baffles me how many ordinary people in Britain are implacably hostile to unions, while getting up in arms whenever billionaires face a tax rise. They are far more likely to be unfairly dismissed from their job than they are to ever become billionaires themselves.

There's a Planet Trail in my town. The model planets were taken down for a couple of years, but now they're back. I pass Jupiter and Saturn regularly. A couple of weeks ago I passed close enough to Uranus I could've reached out and touched it, but I thought that might get weird.

Decent housing at an affordable price would be a universal right, and everybody would actually get that. Properly funded social housing - no more slum landlords who take 3/4 of your income then kick you out on the street on a whim.
