The thing that sucks in this story is it sounds like you're lacking the basic freedom to explore these concepts and ask critical questions to vet - for yourself - whether what you're experiencing is veridically true and my guess is you'd really need to keep your inquiries under wraps to be able to d...

Same thing can be said about songs where there isn't a single real instrument to be heard. There's both glowing exceptions to that as far as genius-level electronic music producers and all kinds of 'real instruments' sampled in other cases which I'd imagine voids your metric of 'real instruments' i...

I'm reminded of that Mighty, Mighty Bosstones song, "The Impression That I Get." You're a fortunate guy who's led a fortunate life, all things considered. But, I think that if you found yourself under really dire circumstances as an adult, you'd have the ability react and rise to the occa...

Grand Budapest Hotel

TBH - I really don't know what I made of it. Cute, a lot of oblique dry humor, reminds me I need to check out László Krasznahorkai's movies.

Posting this halfway through a first-time listen and also first time hearing this artist. This is that edge of dubstep that's more like techno / dub techno with a dubstep beat structure, very reminiscent of Pinch if anyone's familiar with his production.

Both. We can't start saying it's just a neurotype, or else the people who provide PIP and disabilities support are going to brush us off even more than they do now. The world isn't set up for our neurotype, so we are disabled by our environments. What I'd love to know, particularly with large 'empi...

We're in Darwinian competition. Anything that reliably 'loses', no matter why, could be classified as a disability or disorder. I heard that in China if some people are tone deaf they aren't able to fully use the language and so tone deafness would be a disability in China whereas other places it wo...

I decided to ask ChatGPT for something dark and beautiful, it gave me Black Swan (2010).

Think she would have been better off if she'd integrated her shadow a bit better to begin with but - great cinematography and story telling.

For the issue of men harming women - the problem is these guys aren't understanding the human condition and in turn they're resorting to reprehensible behavior. It's not only f'd in the way humans treat each other, it's f'd at the level of what biological life does to biological life almost by desig...

I don't think it's about women though, it's just one example where it goes that way. I think the biggest thing I keep learning, forgetting, and relearning just because it's something - genuinely - not talked about is that if you're not thinking the same way other people do (irrelevant as to whether ...
