Football (which Americans call soccer)

I’d rather watch American football (which Americans call football)

A bit of defensive thinking always helps, so being aware of these things is a good idea. For myself, as I’m not steady on my feet, I’m worried about falling down the stairs and I’m very aware of trip hazards. Can’t always be 100% aware of where I’m putting my feet, though, the concentration fries my...

I took immuno-suppressants for years, pre-covid. So I’ve always been paranoid, but also acted defensively. For example, if I run my hands down a stair banister, I make sure I wash my hands before touching my face. I avoid crowded places (that’s quite a relief, tbh). I always wash my hands before eat...

I can only hope. My worry is how badly this current lot will trash the country before they go.

It depends what other aliments they have also. Some can't keep fit due to crippling pain. Think of worse pain than cancer treatment. Then you have depression where some will just eat and in a never-ending cycle. Unless you've been in that person's shoes you can't really judge them. This. If you hav...

Welcome to the club.

It’s quite an achievement… the docs had me written off at age 16.

I see it as coloured patterns. I’ve played tenor sax in bands over the years… I used to construct solos in my mind out of patterns as I was playing. Sounds really weird, but that was how I did it.

Yes, I often think we should dig up all of Britain to find it all out! haha. Most of it is Roman though, it's unusual when we find anything Saxon or otherwise. The exception are the Romans of course were prodigious builders so not surprisingly a lot of their original structures were never demolishe...

To be honest, the timing of these job losses is quite remarkable… and insensitive. U-turns seem to be the order of the day, still time for a re-think.

Don’t get me going about Celebrity Masterchef. It’s my second fave programme and I am upset they’re messing about with it. I think I’m big enough to get over the jubilee pudding… it’s a celebration and nithing bad intended.

Richard III was technically the last king of the Plantagenet dynasty, but he was the last king of the House of York… which was more notable. Say anything else around here and you’ll get scragged. Why? I live in Yorkshire. I was born in Cheshire, but I still believe that Richard III was our last gre...
