All good stories are built on tension.

Also checkout the tv series “Farscape”. There are living ships in that. Series is on Amazon Prime if you can get that.

An excellent idea (for me) would be to have some sort of tension between the ship and crew. Maya… the Farscape ship… actually has a baby ship in one series, that causes some trouble.

My mother is now 90 and is much sharper than Biden. I don’t think I’d like my mother to be the leader of the free world, though.

It's even more funny when they ask about whole seasons:

"How was your summer?"
"Great, thanks!"
"Did you travel or do anything?"
"Nope! It was marvellous!"

I also like that one.

I usually say "Yes, I'm staying home reading a book". I get the strangest looks, as if that couldn't possibly be fun. Sometimes they ask what I'll be reading but their eyes glaze over when I name German philosophy, literary criticism, or a biography on some dead sod from the 19th Century....

Employ a third party… as in “my mate fancies you”. The current Mrs Trueno made her feelings quite clear via a mutual aquaintance.

If it’s an instant decision the answer is no. If it’s something in the future I’ll probably say yes to shut them up… then duck out later, preferably by email.

I once read that expensive hair shampoo is basically the same as dishwashing soap… the shampoo just has fancy scent added… and a lot of hype.

Jacob Rees-Mogg is the laziest minister. He is never proactive, he just ends up in jobs. I thought it was a bit rude of Joe Biden to get Rishi Sunak's name wrong, but he may have been making the point that the UK is having yet another Prime Minister in a short time and it's hard to keep up. I think...

I don’t know anything about IBS, but I’ve had Crohns Disease for 50 years.

Try a hot water bottle wrapped in a tea towel and hug it against your belly… even try sleeping like that. I don’t think it cures anything but does provide some relief.

Best wishes.
