Sounds normal to me. i consider myself to be moderately successful in life - but I still get frustrated and down sometimes about the limitations from my autism. |

Well, everybody's needs are different. But this is what is currently working for me, after a few years of trial and error, and trying to find options with the least side effects or withdrawal issues: 1. Ketogenic diet . (very low carb-high fat diet. No grains, no added sugar, no processed food, limi... |

I can't see the coloboma in her eye, even on the photo she claims shows it. If that's not there, she can't be Madeleine. |

I take CBD oil as well. That also affects the balance of excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters. But maybe more by reducing gultamate than increasing GABA. Seems they haven't done enough studies yet. And the doses used in studies tend to be about 10x what you can get prescribed anyway. |

That is why I'm currently on the ketogenic diet. If you can get and stay in ketosis, with your brain / nervous system running on ketones, that leads to more glutamate being converted to GABA which dampens down brain excitation. Supposedly. Actually, there aren't many studies yet, but it does seem to... |

I also have worst issues around November to January, but that's summer here. It may be the combination of christmas and all the expectations which go along with that, and the heat and humidity we get here. |

Oh this is heartbreaking, I feel for you. Now there are two possibilities with what's going on with your wife, either she's an as*hole or an aspie. I'm going to assume you're correct and she's an aspie and respond accordingly. I would say she wants to sleep with other people Not necessarily. Speakin... |

Good news! The missing woman has been found by her family - she was riding the trains. (Still in the same clothes and a lot thinner - they took her back to hospital for a check-up.) |

I don't think I have the ability to hyperfocus then. I've never been too hyperfocused to remember to eat, sleep or go to the toilet. Even when writing my stories, which I love doing, I can't focus for long periods of time, as I lose focus when I get writer's block. Also I can't sit still for long p... |

It makes sense to me. Monotropism could explain all kinds of issues I have - not just hyperfocus but also the inability to attend to two things at once such as talking and driving, and the way I get stuck in one thought pattern (rumination). My brain has heavy steering, it only wants to go in one di... |

I do wonder if not knowing was a good thing in some ways, because it forced me to learn a lot of compensatory strategies to be able to fit into society. These have served me well. I was also less aware and hence less self-conscious about my AS traits, which was nice in an "ignorance is bliss&qu... |

I was really slow to realise. Even after I had to take 6 months off work due to burn-out... and even after I was having trouble with parenting and had come to the realisation that there was some hard-wired problem in my brain, I still didn't get the picture. I just had a complete misconception of wh... |

My first one hurt bad - but mainly because I didn't really understand the process and was afraid. Fear ramps up pain a lot. When the second one came around I understood better that the pain was contractions to help open up the birth canal and that the pain came in waves so you just have to (try to) ... |
