Perhaps what you need is to learn to become more assertive, without "fighting" in ways likely to get you into trouble?

If so, perhaps you might find some of these tutorials on assertiveness to be helpful.

Regarding eye contact: I'm bad at it too but have trained myself into it. he doesn't seem to be bad at all, just with me Maybe he has a crush on you but is resisting it, out of fear of rejection (or possibly other reasons)? In the context of a group conversation, especially an online group chat, it ...

It seems people either say "oh just try taking them to speech therapy" (we do by the way) to "they are going to need lifelong care." Not many people are saying "yeah with some dedication they can become something." Very sorry to hear of your difficult situation. I'm gl...

I would suggest that you take a look at the already-existing dating services for autistic people, which I listed in another thread here . At least one of them, Uneepi, offers some kind of coaching service too, if I'm not mistaken. But, from what I've heard, all these dating apps have one big problem...

There's been some improvements on the situation with that guy. Fortunately, I think some peope might have been right about him having a little crush. Unfortunately, I doubt it has potential. If you don't know how you feel about him, I would suggest that you continue getting to know him as a friend,...

If you suspect autism, I would suggest that you make an organized list of the reasons why. Organize your list into categories such as "social difficulties," "sensory issues," "executive functioning issues," etc. If you are aware of having had developmental delays as a c...

In my country which is U.S.A. some people think that we invented it and I don’t believe that Who claims that we invented slavery??? Can point to some examples of people claiming this on the web? To uncommondenominator: See also my post here , on the previous page. But I do agree with most of the following: I still can't help but feel that some of our problems are less related to an "inability" to learn social skills, and more related to some of the maladaptive behaviors we've pick...

That means we're engaging in group socialization. We're each talking to multiple people. We're talking among o...
