This sounds like the Lawyer version of The Good Doctor. Do we know if any Autistic people had any input in developing the show / main character, of if the actor playing the Autistic lawyer is themself Autistic?

if there are none then home schooling with private tutors would be a last resort. The problem is the school, the mainstream system doesn't cater for children with autism.

If you actually read OP’s post then you would know that homeschooling is illegal in Spain where they live.

I think there could definitely be a sensory aspect to this as well as possible jealousy. Perhaps something to do with the sound of eating mushy foods, or the baby's crying?

I love to sing, and took a few singing lessons when I was in high school, though I never had a great technique. Couple that with me having a baritone voice and a love for 80s rock bands like Bon Jovi and Journey and you get permanent vocal damage…my perfect pitch gone to waste.

Welcome! My dad is Australian, but I’ve lived my whole life in the USA because my mom is from here. Ironically, Tasmania is the only Australian state or territory my dad has never lived in or visited.

I posted this on a different thread bit I think you could use tgis advice too @The Grand Inquisitor. We’re the same age. I can deeply relate to how you feel. @Dorkseid, I can deeply relate to how you feel. For a long I too thought I would never be in a relationship. My best advice for you would be to see if there are any autistic adult social/support groups in your area. If not, do what I did and create one yourself! Send out emails to all of the therapi...

Some people just get screwed over in the dating game through no fault of their own. I know a guy who's a perfectly nice and easy going fellow but I doubt he's ever going to get married, have a family, or even have a girlfriend. He's a legitimate 2/10 on the lookscale; grossly overweight, very ugly ...

Sounds super inspiration-porny to me as well. He isn’t actually the first openly-autistic contestant on the show. James Durbin, who came in 4th place in one of the earlier seasons about a decade ago, was also open about it, but if my memory serves me correctly he didn’t make a huge deal of it or use...

And LGBTQ+ women seem to greatly outnumber straight women in autism rights activism. Hmm, I haven't gotten the impression that LGBTQ+ women "greatly outnumber" hetero women, but I agree that there are lots of highly visible LGBTQ+ women in autistic rights activism. That's probably because...

What we need is job training for ND/Autistic folks who are interested in OTHER fields too. The more that this stereotype of “all Autistics are good at STEM” gets pushed, the worse it is for our community as a whole.
