If an actor is good at doing an Australian accent they are an "Autist".

These early stories about Monkey Pox spreading sort of remind me of the stories about two years ago about COVID-19. Surely that is just a coincidence, right?? For any conspiracy theorists out there, might there be a Monkey Pox conspiracy? Could some country have developed a new strain and begun spre...

Welcome to WP! I hope you like it here. And, I agree with: Antisocial is not the same as asocial. Asocial means lacking the motivation to be social. Antisocial is when a person behaves in ways that harm or lack consideration for the well-being of others. Sorry for the explanation, but people saying ...

For cat people, cats are wonderful! While I was growing up my best friend was our indoor/outdoor cat. He didn't make a mess in the house unless he was accidentally locked in and in a part of the house with no litter box. Even then he did his best (for instance, in the bathtub or in the magazine buck...

My bride had a copy of Temple Grandin [2010] before we even suspected I might be o n t h e S p e c t r u m . But I was not interested enough to watch it until after I was diagnosed. Many movies and shows have a character that might seem A u t i s t i c —for instance, we are currently watching our wa...

Well. You're ahead of me. I had never even heard of the Autism Spectrum until I was 64. I had heard of the movie Rain Man [1988] but I have yet to see it.

(Since being diagnosed I have discovered a few movies about Autism I like, though.)

Sigh. The next time we work our way through What We Do in the Shadows [2019– ] I am likely to vaguely remember this thread and my bride will be confused as to why I seem amused when they say that line.

(a) Are they short-haired? That would be much tidier than a longhair. When I and my bride married she had two Ragdoll cats (which are long-haired) and the shed hair was messy...and, being cats, they were constantly licking themselves and had to cough up a lot of hairballs. (b) Don't take them from t...
