I find that the issue with Broen/Bron is that they say: this is how women with asperger's (or whatever it is called nowadays) are. Did they say that about the "Saga" character somewhere? The IMDb trivia for it suggests they deliberately did not do so. Even in the American/Mexican version,...

I also think Mary and Max [2009] is a really good movie!

There is more than one version of "The Bridge". According to Wikipedia there was the original and then a few "foreign" versions . - - - - The Bridge [2011-2018]: Swedish/Danish/German with an 8.6 IMDb user - - - - The Tunnel [2013-2018]: British/French with 7.9 IMDb user rating -...

I agree. Usually the extended cut is an improvement...but think Alien [1979] is an exception (and from what I read online I think the director prefers the theater release version, too ). I also agree about it almost being like unrelated sets of movies. There were {the four Predator movies}, {the fou...

To some extent there are similarities between you and us. I was getting mentally frazzled and needed time to introvert and recover and she assumed she was the problem--sometimes she was a contributing factor but usually it was work (I was often very unhappy at work) but by trying to interact with me...

Well. He's a rich actor. He should be able to mask and cope with the best of them.

I recommend having any discussion on this when he is in a good mood and keeping things brief. Maybe you can agree on a code phrase. We use "I need to introvert." My bride used to pester me for conversations when I was frazzled (which work did to me a lot before I retired). When I didn't wa...

It doesn't sound like he questions the accuracy of the diagnosis, just the relevance.

Welcome to WP! I hope you decide this is a nice neighborhood.

I was diagnosed when I was 64. It explained so much! I insisted we buy champagne on the way home from getting the diagnosis at the Psychologist's office (and I got more when the written evaluation arrived in the mail).

We've been married 21 years and from my vantage point I'd observe: He's a husband guy human. If he's not snarling at you all the time and you love each other then I don't think it is surprising that the world sometimes gets him into a bad mood and it colors his interactions with you. I know my bride...

I think asking IQ would only make sense in a rambling conversation with a very close friend or family member. Asking for it to screen people for any official or semi-official purpose would seem wrong, might be illegal (it is medical info, right?), and would not be useful. -- - - They might lie. -- -...
