Overall it's because the barriers in place between the UK and EU are now harder to pass and take a longer time. The UK government didn't seem to realise that we are an island and rely on other countries to let our supplies through. Doh! Makes sense. UK made their own bed and now they have to lay in...

^That is quite a recent thing. When we were in the EU, they assessed our beaches and gave them Blue Flag status if they were up to the standards for quality, safety, environmental education and information, the provision of services and general environmental management criteria. We are not in the E...

I don't get why, when Person A tells me that Person B has been nasty to them and hurt them in some way, and I say 'that's not very nice, Person B must be a horrible person to do that to you.' Then Person A either starts defending Person B. Or they run to Person B and say 'Kitlily said you were were ...

This is one of the reasons the UK has never been on my travel list. Ocean outfalls pumping raw sewage. The sheer volume of sewage and run-off entering the water means the UK is consistently ranked as one of the worst European countries for coastal water quality and only 14% of UK rivers meet good e...

How, exactly, are chemical supply chains squeezed by brexit? :? Either there's supply available for sale that can be shipped and delivered or there isn't. How does the uk's status, whether in or out of the EU, change the supply of chemicals they can buy to treat sewage wastewater? :? And there's yo...

Solution: Don't go on (anti)social-media. We all waste far too much time online, myself included. Another option: As your friend pointed out, say less, read/listen more. As for my take on your post.. People who are pro choice aren't necessarily pro abortion - just pro freedom of CHOICE for women to...

I don't take too much notice of Wikipedia, that's just random people writing what they think. Of course it's wise to check out anything that anybody writes, but I've not found anything much wrong with the pages I've read. If an assertion in an article hasn't been backed up by citations, it's soon l...

It is no fun, it is only fun when you need to get into a nightclub for concert.

Yes or you need to be an adult to buy something. Otherwise you're just left to cope on your own, basically.

One thing I don't get is how people, be they of very low, average, or very high intelligence, can be cognitively consistent. I've never been like that from as far back as I can remember. What is 'cognitively consistent'? There's very little,if any, fluctuation in their ability to think . I have days...

What do you lot think about Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping? I was very sceptical but it does actually work and it's free to do so it's a win:win. According to Wikipedia it doesn't work, apart from a placebo effect, though I gather placebos can work wonders. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotio...
