The declining number of hospitalizations may or may not be good news. It could be an indication of partial herd immunity from vaccines and most people getting COVID. Hospitalizations are a delayed indicator. A spike can be well underway before they start going up. Also, since hospitals are dropping...

Yesterday I went swimming at the YMCA pool and I met a man who had COVID 3 times already. As a matter of fact many people have had COVID 3 times. Each time they get it the impact gets smaller and smaller. Pretty sure I've had it three times, and each one was worse than the last. The first one left ...

Quebec won the Cup, sweeping Winnipeg in 4 games. No blow-outs and the last three were incredibly hard, they completely shutdown my offence again and again.

How does one even win sports games?
Am I really bad at them, or am I just picking the wrong teams?

https://twitter.com/luckytran/status/1657500045942353923 The CDC has finally published guidance for cleaning indoor air and is recommending wearing masks in schools. Why wait until after the end of the public health emergency? The government always knew about the science needed to save lives. But th...

really? all I see in "spoiler territory" is korok crucifixion and looney tunes contraptions I don't want to see ANYTHING. I just want to enjoy the game in complete ignorance. I did the same thing with BotW, kind of unintentionally, and ignorance really is bliss. It was incredible. It was ...

I went into a Cartridges Galore and bought a fan made GBA 7in1 Legend of Zelda collection. It's supposed to have almost every handheld Zelda title in it. The DS games are pretty good too. I like them a lot better with the controller hacks though, so you can play them with traditional d-pad instead ...

Perhaps Long Covid is a known condition that has been around for a long time. It might actually go by another name Transient ischemic attack (TIA) or for short a Mini Stroke . TIA does share some of the same symptoms, and it could possibly be a co-morbid (since Covid causes micro-clots all througho...

It is fun, but it is very grindy (or maybe I'm just bad at it).

It seems like I discussed this topic several years ago and cited the following article. That's not what the article I linked is about, though. It was them predicting that we'd probably have another huge pandemic soon, and whether or not we'd be prepared for it (spoilers: they were right, we were no...

Although COVID-19 no longer poses the societal emergency that it did when it first emerged in late 2019, COVID-19 remains an ongoing public health challenge. By April 26, 2023, more than 104 million U.S. COVID-19 cases, 6 million related hospitalizations, and 1.1 million COVID-19–associated deaths ...
