jimmy_m  I don't know if people noticed, but jimmy suffered a major stroke in April. He can no longer read. It breaks my heart and I hope he is doing OK. He contributed so much to WP. Likewise I miss: Blint  She also suffered a stroke and nearly died. She is still in rehab to the best...

Maybe it is time to actually go see a therapist regarding her having a stroke. I never thought in a million years this would severely impact me but it has.

The time I’m taking the week off work is the one time I’m actually going to do some travelling, need to take some time to recover mentally and physically.

I get terrible hay fever and this summer has been the most toughest one by far in terms of this. The amount of people had given me weird stares because of it.

To one of my co-workers, You are an absolute legend. But seriously, putting anxiety aside. You need to believe in yourself more and just be yourself. Try not to be easily influenced just because you don’t want to offend someone. Why should that matter? If they don’t like it, that’s really their prob...

Things have been pretty hectic where I was working, such as crazy schedule changes and lot of shift covers. I was getting a lot of fluxing hours week to week I could pay my few bills but still. I got a offer for a job that pays a little more and will be a bit less stressful for myself. Im going in ...

And about my bodyweight which has not decreased altough I have been cycling about 260km in the last four days. Instead it increased from 88kg to almost 89kg :( It...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UifJA6d3kc8 Something on my mind. ^ Can you have Zoom visits Ian? Then you wouldn't have to drive or do all the testing. We do occasionally do Facetime/Google Duo video calls but we call each other pretty much everyday (although some days neither of us feel like talk...

So turns out, she's not going to the rehab centre in Blackheath since she's not the right candidate. Still have to do the 25 mile drive there and back. On top of that, her health started slowly declining. Just hearing all this is heart-breaking. Starting to lose so much motivation to keep going but ...

I once saw an old DEMU unit come into Cardiff Central. The third rail elwctric systems last ages and are very durable but they do suffer from picking up current in the snow. That's unfortunately the case with 3rd rail, I think they tend to go a maximum 120mph. I know the class 377 does (as in South...

I'm from the UK and find some trains quite fascinating. Especially the EMU units.

Thanks for the update, Ian. So good that she’s progressing so well! Totally understand that driving to Kent would be daunting. Went through that myself when a family member was moved to a hospital 2 hrs drive away for specialist care. Hope you cope okay. I understand you’re going through alot with ...

Update: Today, I’ve just found out that she had an assessment to see if going to rehab would be the right place for her, she has after all made tremendous improvements beyond belief. If she is eligible, she would be moving to Kent and it would be a whole lot harder to visit. Makes me so anxious not...
