We're having the same problem here too. Supply shortage and worker shortage and Fed Ex ground sucks, it's taking longer for our trash and recycling to be picked up. Evictions are happening here too. More homeless people. I had to order shampoo online. I may have to start ordering supplements online ...

I was diagnosed in late 1997 at the age of 12. I only got diagnosed because I happened to see the right doctor and happened to be in the right bad situation or else it wouldn't have happened.

Places have been doing this for years, there is no longer the boys and girls section, instead it is just the toy section. I see Barbies and dolls and Polly Pockets and other things and the Lego section and action figures, the baby toys and toddler toys and puzzles and board games. I haven't seen any...

People don't read just your mouth, they look at your eyes, your body language. People laugh and you can still see them smile because their eyes crease and so do their cheeks when they smile. People raise their brows as well. Some people get bunny noses as they smile. Your tone of voice as well.

I wish humans like these would cancel themselves. Cancel themselves from existing. :x There was a 60 page thread on this incident and there were WP members who steadfast supported the murderers rights to stalk Ahmed Arbery (the victim). 8O s**t, that is so f****d up, I hope lot of those users are g...

I get a feeling the owner only did this as a reverse to fight against mandatory masks so he is deciding to do the opposite by kicking out anyone who wears masks to make a point. "Oh so you want to discriminate against those who don't wish to wear masks, we'll let's see them being discriminate a...

That would be useful. You mention observing a trend. Are you seeing a trend of some sort with your communication and other people? Or is it a more generalized communication trend, for example between other people? This may be a good example here perhaps: On Twitter someone posts about how much mone...

Written or oral communication. So if there's a general expectation that one is a poor communicator, then it's easier for people to intentionally misinterpret something you've said. Quite often the response reflects a general understanding that what one said was predicated on a fundamental misunders...

It's been better recently than it was initially. I’m just going to go ahead and say it: conservatives are far more prevalent than I would’ve expected for an autism forum. It’s not at all hard to find people on WP bitching about SJWs, political correctness, and so on. But still, there are plenty of ...

I have had mixed experiences here, the good and the bad. I have been here since 2006 and I think this forum has taken a different direction in the last few years. I think of users here who were toxic due to their own issues have left this place believing the rest of us were evil lol. But those peopl...

It's not that I don't want to work. It's just that I don't want to be FORCED to work. In reality, lot of people are forced to work. They need money to make a living or else be homeless and be hungry all the time. But if you are on disability and have this attitude, it is not going to look good so I...

I have seen no evidence that the OP doesn't want to work, more like OP is struggling because of their disability so they are of course entitled to benefits and a living. Calling them lazy and saying they are a frauding the system is ableist. It's bad enough that many people out there think that peop...

They now have chicken pox vaccines so my kids got one and never had chicken pox. They didn't have that vaccine out when I was a kid so I had them twice and it left me a couple of scars.
