Why some family movies like to make cats disgusting (like burp or fart) as if to portray that cats are rude and dirty, when actually they're much more clean and elegant than dogs.
That's why I love Disney's The Aristocats, because it shows what lovely animals cats really are. |

^ Correct. There is no cast-in-stone "three strikes and you're out" ruling. Joe, if you're uncertain of how your commentary may be received on any given topic you can either consider it carefully and maybe rephrase before posting, or simply not post at all. There's no shame in not comment... |

I remember having a tantrum in public when I was 11. I was with my family visiting a castle, and there weren't really anyone else around, and I was behaving with a sulky attitude because castles didn't interest me and I was bored. When my dad got angry with me my mum said to him "she's got Aspe... |

When I watch videos on YouTube of severely autistic children or adults, their meltdowns seem sort of in intervals. I can't explain it. One time I saw a video of an autistic 8-year-old, and he was in "meltdown mode". He had ear defenders on and kept flapping his hands and shouting. He was v... |

Getting out of an abusive relationship is often much more difficult than just going "this sucks" and leaving, regardless of how hypothetically "easy" it might be to find a new partner afterwards. This I agree with. It's frustrating when people say "leave him", like it'... |

https://www.additudemag.com/rejection-sensitive-dysphoria-adhd-emotional-dysregulation/ I haven't really seen this discussed here but it's very common in those with ADHD. I've never even heard of it until very recently, via an ADHD Facebook support group I belong to. And it describes me SO MUCH that... |

It seems accurate to say that Jimmy is "more" autistic than me. Of course, I'm L1 and he's L3, requiring full-time supervision. How can anyone say we both have autism equally? This. He's definitely low-functioning, no matter how intelligent he is. If I were at that support group I'd be li... |

Feeling afraid of discussing any political matters on WP in case I get mistaken for being a racist and then unexpectedly getting another warning from the mods just because someone may have took something in my post the wrong way. I've already had two warnings so I believe the third warning leads to ... |

I don't get the "Do people like me?" "Should I stay?" Threads. I see those threads as an opportunity to say something nice to the OP, to give them an ego boost, or something. Unless made frequently by the same user, these threads aren't narcissistic and to me seem to be a result... |

I remember my mum telling me years ago that it is socially unacceptable to just go and sit in a pub on your own, unless you're an alcoholic or something. For some reason people make fun of someone sitting on their own in a pub. I said that I've often seen men sitting alone in pubs but she said it's ... |

No movie really offends me, except real life animal torture. I love South Park because of how offensive and politically incorrect it is. I even like the Ass Burgers episode. Actually I was a little disappointed with that because it wasn't autistic enough, the characters in it that were supposed to b... |

Same sentiment. ^ I also had morning sickness my entire pregnancy up to and including the day I went into labour. I developed some food aversions that never stopped close to 30 years later. It's a huge responsibility but I can understand wanting children because I wanted them too. I don't know what... |

I don't think I've ever said I don't want children. I just feel I can't have children because of my severe pain sensitivities and emetophobia. I'm awake mostly all night anyway so that wouldn't be a problem. I think when a woman has a baby her motherly instincts kick in and she accepts that her life... |

I don't know why, but I have this feeling that if I was to have a baby it will be a little boy. (Is this a broody maternal thing?) I just feel panicky because my biological clock is ticking and running out. I'm going to be 33 this year and for a woman it's getting too old to make a baby because ther... |

People on the spectrum aren't meant to meet people in pubs and bars, because whatever effort we'll make people would just respond with the dreaded words of social rejection; ''stop following me'', ''I wasn't talking to you'', and ''do you want something??'' - even those of us who know better to be c... |
