Aspies that drink alcohol seem to have a better social life than those that don't drink. Teetotal Aspies like myself sadly have less friends. I know two male Aspies who have a much bigger social life than me (much more friends) because they get drunk every time they go out, in fact drinking motivate... |

I used to slurp up the water from the condensation on the windowsills. I grew out of it by age 6.
I also would eat the foam from the bubble bath in the bathtub.
I'm still here to tell the tale. |

Sorry to make this about myself but I had a similar experience as a child, except I showed no symptoms until the age of 4 when I started school, but even that was anxiety symptoms more so than autistic symptoms. But because of the sudden change in my normal behaviour I became a bug under a microscop... |

Thick means stupid in the UK, in case it isn't a commonly used term in the US. So today I had to go to a separate building (under the same company I work for) because the guy who usually cleans there is off this week. I was given a card with the door code on, and I tapped it in. But I couldn't get t... |

Obsessions chose me, and there was nothing I could do to make them become less interesting, so I just had to let them run their course. Unfortunately it took a few years. Sometimes lifestyle changes can also help but it can all depend on what the special interest/obsession is. |

I'm a true fan of summer but even I'm getting tired of it now, not so much the heat but the dryness. I want it to rain. Even if it's still 35 degrees, I still want a monsoon. It reminds me of the winter of 2009 into 2010, we had weeks and weeks of snow that would not go away. It didn't keep snowing,... |

Well if there's black-outs at night then me and my boyfriend can keep each other warm in bed. When we went to Scotland one winter the pipes froze in the family beach house and oh my God it was so cold. We turned all the radiators on but it took about 12 hours for the pipes to unfreeze. We could see ... |

^Thats what I needed, thank you. I don't mind if a black-out was just 3 or 4 consecutive nights in the winter. But because we're so reliant on electricity and internet, hardly anyone will be able to function if there were to be black-outs throughout the day or several days. I remember there was talk... |

I wonder why it isn't racist when some American movies have snooty British butlers with no sense of humour, or making the father in an American family movie fall in love with an entitled British woman who happens to be a villain. It's like America portrays British women as spoilt snobs and British m... |

I don't have Spotify. In fact I feel that Spotify users are suckers. I have Music Player, which is a 100% free app, and I just download songs from YouTube on to it using MP3 converter. No monthly payments, no internet required to listen to songs (internet only needed to download of course). I can f... |

So many people will not be able to heat their homes this winter without further help. Well if global warming is causing an unusually hot summer then maybe the winter will be mild. I can survive winter without heating as long as I have warm clothing and extra blankets. I know I'm not elderly or vuln... |

In all my life I have never known so many crises to happen all at once like this. I don't know what's becoming of the UK. I'm even scared that the cost of living crisis might make a lot of us end up losing our jobs and our homes. So I feel I can't even relax. Why is the UK becoming like a third worl... |
