Even though NTs usually take it personally when an Aspie doesn't want to talk to them.

I got an email this morning, about how to read maps backwards.
Turns out it was spam.

Not quite sure what the discussion with Moe or whatever it is all about, but nobody in this thread has said anything hurtful or offensive. I'm not really interested in anime but still nothing offensive here.

I get on with NTs. I'm quite well-liked everywhere I go, but I just don't seem to form close friendships with NTs, especially the average sort of NTs that focus less on what sort of person you are and more on how much you speak and how much like them you are and how many questions you ask about them...

You're the reason I came back. And this thread of course, and all the nice things everyone has said here. But you just pushed me over the edge - in a good way, I mean. :) :)

I can get jealous of my female cousins but I don't show it and I don't hold a grudge against them or anything. Maybe jealous isn't the right word for me. Envious might be the right word, due to me feeling insecure about who I am. But it isn't in my nature to get nasty or resentful. If I was religiou...

I take Sertraline, which doesn't stop my anxiety but it does help with mood regulation.

Probably Homer with my ADHD.

Ned Flanders, not that I'm religious or anything but because I'm a notorious people-pleaser.

Milhouse with my wimpy-ness.

Marge with my anxiety.

↑ Please forgive me for saying this, but one coincidence does not validate a generalized claim. Considering all of the celebrities, historical figures, and even fictional characters who have been allegedly 'identified' as being on the autism spectrum without any validation whatsoever, I am inclined...

Yeah I suppose it did work... I've stayed away for a while, without needing a temporary ban, to give myself practice on not oversharing too much on impulse. I'm hoping it worked, and that I can remain here in peace and feel like I fit in again. Thank you all for posting in this thread, thank you Rex...

For me basically ASD is just having a weak personality which causes you to be treated differently, so no matter how socially acceptable your actions are it is still wrong. That's my personal experience anyway. But not so much around family and my partner.

I can usually tell if a man is autistic, but not necessarily always. I can always tell if a person is quirky or has some sort of neurological difference even if it's unclear what it is (which it usually is).
