Here in Australia you can't directly measure IQ for getting a job or a place in university. However, as Fnord mentioned, there are proxy measures that have good concurrent validity to IQ. e.g. problem solving tasks given as part of a job interview or scores on standardised tests in combination with...

I suspect it'll stay that way while Elizabeth II remains on the throne, in both Australia and NZ. Afterwards, who knows? We had a referendum and even had support from conservatives like Malcolm Turnbull. But the ballot for the proposed republic was rejected. I think regardless of the Queen, while t...

It's an interesting contrast that people who peddle quack ideas about COVID treatments get banned on social media but strangely when a former POTUS did the same, 75 million Americans thought he would be an appropriate choice to make decisions that impact their health??

Mass insanity?

It's interesting given Candace is planning to run for president in 2024

I doubt she'd be elected but she'd be a serious contender for vice president under a 2nd Trump term of office. Should Australians be worried?

Now to sit back and wait for Fox to equate the deaths with Baldwin's left wing politics. I was wondering how long before somebody else noticed. Again no sympathy expressed for the victim of the accident , her name was Halyna Hutchins and she was a cinematographer https://content.api.news/v3/images/...

Baldwin's film centres around a 13-year-old boy who goes on the run with his estranged grandfather after he’s sentenced to hang for the accidental killing of a local rancher in the 1880s, according to the movie’s logline.

Oh the irony

Before finding Petito and Laundrie's body search and rescue recovered the remains of 7 other missing people. The families of the other missing are wondering why the same effort wasn't used in their searches? My guess is Laundrie decided to off himself in the wilderness after strangling his g/f. Laun...

I wonder if there are any benefits left to remain part of the British commonwealth? Australians and New Zealanders have been debating this for some 20 years now.

I'll be honest and say I have ghosted women. But the same has been done to me plenty of times.

TBF online platforms make it easier these days to behave in this manner.
