I've got a few friends who are really nice people. No one ever asks them out, yet this crazy girl they know is the one who has not just interest, but a proposal. Life is weird. I know this will affect one of my friends badly. I don't think she actually dislikes the girl, but I'm just like, why her a...

My girlfriend has those types of negative off-putting conversations alot with me. That's one of the many reasons I love her  I find happy-go-lucky people very off-putting. They tend to be very dismissive of my various issues & problems. They insisted that if I just changed my outlook, th...

Hot Take: There is another side of this coin. Since most NT women won’t give us the time of day unless we’re at least a 9/10 on the looks scale Again this stupid myth? Really, look at people in relationships. On average, they are average-looking, average-earning and generally, relationships are for...

Just adding that out family name has died with my generation. We had a long traceable heritage and it died with my sister being the youngest daughter.

The genes are strong, but they have a new name now.

Any convo where they show genuine interest in the topic and respect my point of view. We could disagree entirely but sometimes that's intellectually stimulating, if it's respectful. I don't expect a partner to have fascinating hobbies or love all of mine. I just like good banter, good humour, and r...

Conversation that just flows from one idea to the next. They mention something and tell you about it, then you add to what they were saying, they add to that and it goes on and on. The subject doesn't matter, unless it's "how's your family doing," that's dull. Boring people offer one line...

I think we all imagine that we are more attractive than we actually are.

Humans are weird.

What makes them unappealing. I personally find them boring. One eats with his mouth open and mumbles. Is that to do with their nice persona or just being boring though? Niceness isn't boring. Boringness is having nothing much to talk about after meeting them on several different occasions and they ...

Where's the part about being a nice person and building trust with people? That's the bare minimum. I know a few nice and trustworthy single people, but no one is interested in dating them. Men and women? Yes. Women too. Spinsters and wallflowers if you will, but I don't want to derail the thread. ...

I have the impression that most women are turned off by two extremes of male behavior: Nice Guys™ and Total Jerks™.  Somewhere in between are those ordinary, average Joes with good manners and pleasant dispositions who sometimes get grumpy and say/do the wrong things.  Surprisingly, these are the m...

Not Jewish, mostly atheists or agnostic, but our extended family mostly have female children.

Just genetics.

Us autistic people notice patterns in things. Sometimes there's no real reason for the pattern. Its just a fluke.

An adult who you feel comfortable telling about a problem. Someone who you feel will listen to you and help you. So when I was getting bullied at school I told my Mum and she talked to my teacher about it. I found my teacher scary so I didn't talk to her first. I went to the person I trusted to list...

Date a range of people. Don't use someone you're not really attracted to though, that's also icky. I find this one difficult because we have natural attractions programmed into us AND we can find non-stereotypically attractive people attractive, but where is the line? If you feel like you're using ...
