It's probably already on here but this is perhaps the worst:

- You just have to stop looking and then you'll get a girlfriend

--> How, magic? You just close your eyes, wait a few seconds, and poof, there's a girlfriend sitting opposite you?

I refuse to watch it as I did not consider the last one to be a `Star Trek' and, as such, will not consider this one to be one either.

Yep, but I'm starting to avoid them more and more. I've already planned an activity on my birthday next year, partly because I don't want to see my family then. They just don't understand me and I usually want to flee after 5 minutes.

So, today in class we discussed the book Extremely loud & Incredibly Close. One of the first topics discussed was, is Oskar on the spectrum? I'd like to ask those of you whom have read the book to respond, what do you think and why?

I agree that sitting alone during parts of the day is not a bad thing. I don't think working in groups the entire day is good for any kid, let alone one with AS. Does your son know he uses a high-pitched voice, many people with AS don't truly notice they talk in a certain way, often loudly.

I wouldn't mind being immortal, the risk of there being no afterlife is still too great.

I think psychegots got the truth in his first post in this topic, about the NTs not telling it because they know how society will react. The ways people view the death of others and the potential death of oneself are numerous and I don't think it's got very much to do with being NT or AS. It can be ...

Actually, the music is not a far cry from early western music. The exact sounds are of course unknown as we haven't unearthed their USB drives yet, but it definitely is way more advanced then grunting (which is a rather modern invention I really hate) and because music is based on mathematics we can...

America lost the war on terror the minute they gave so many Middle Eastern countries a reason to hate them, and at this point there is no way to win it. I think America incited the distrust of almost all Arab states because of political alignments with Israel. However, it's hard to hate your bigges...

Terrorism exists, but one cannot just start a war to end it. It won't work as it will exacerbate the conditions which led to them in the first place, which are poverty and a lack of education.
