I wouldn't say everyone is as the autism spectrum varies some people have it mildly some have quite severe and some moderate. I don't think anyone has it mildly. Like the saying says, "Mild Autism does not mean that I experience my Autism mildly. Mild Autism means that you experience my Autism...

My OT told me that once; I think she was trying to make me feel better, but in reality it just made me feel confused.

Your OT is WRONG and had no right to tell you that.

My psychology teacher recently spoke to me concerning my suspicions aboutAutism/Aspergers. . . In the conversation he mentioned how everyone is on the spectrum and the degree of autism is dependent on their individuality. There's just different names for each 'space' on the spectrum. So, basically,...

I have been getting hurt for the things I say…like physical violence isn’t worse than swearing. Words can be incredibly painful. I am often severely affected by things people say to me to the point of making me dysfunctional and even suicidal. Verbal abuse is just as destructive as any other form o...

I know this sounds ridiculous because I don't believe in astology but autism and asperger's have a lot in commont with the Virgo horoscope. It's almost ridiculous. Personally I'm a virgo and you can see why I attributed many of my traits to the sign, even though I don't believe in it. Here's the li...

Is there a particular language people use to talk to people on the spectrum that bothers you? And if so what would you say to them? what should people never say to us?
I am not quite sure what you are asking. Can you be more specific in what you mean?

It is very common and even "normal" for Autistic people to like to do things over and over again. Is it normal for my nephew to get bored of playing the same game when he has only been playing for 30 minutes when he claims to like the game, but he says he gets bored, and then keeps wantin...

Noise sensitivity won't kill you directly but it can indirectly kill you. It can cause you to commit suicide or become so weak that you are no longer about to function and you can deteriorate to the point where you can no longer sustain life.
