I don't know...Mayweather beat up his children's mother in front of them. That seems a lot worse to me than what some old cuckoo thinks.

I feel like if I knew a lot about sports, news, music, movies, celebrities, and current events, I would have no problem socializing and making friends but none of it interests me and even when I try to learn these things I seem to struggle more compared to things I am interested in so I'm pretty mu...

You can try some ear plugs. Maybe they'll work a little better than the headphones. Unfortunately I don't know if anyone will listen to the complaints because it is sort of expected/accepted that dorms will be loud. But yeah, dorms are terrible. I remember my freshman year my neighbor would play gui...

When my kids no longer wanted to call me "mommy" because they were "too old" for that, they sort of slipped into not being able to call me anything. They did not make the switch to "mom" or some such (they are both HFA also). I forgot, I did this to my parents as well. They had to pretty much force...

Does anyone else avoid calling people by their name? Sometimes I just start talking hoping the person knows I'm talking to them, or sometimes I won't say anything at all because I'm not sure how to address them. I may be a little hesitant of what to call people when they're addressed in multiple way...

I'm not sure what to say to this. Not sure at all. What does someone have to do/think for you to say they are racist? I wouldn't word it as directly as Marcia did, as Brummiemetalhead is at least taking a small step in the right direction. However, it is what it is. Everyone is entitled to their opi...

Tallyman is right. You might be surprised to learn that Georges Lemaître, the first person to propose the theory of the expansion of the universe (before Hubble) as well as what later became known as the Big Bang theory, was a Roman Catholic priest. I've always found it interesting that many people...

Possibly, but it could also mean people who attend nondenominational churches. Though for the most part I think you're accurate.

I think there are an increasing number of people with those interests. The problem is congregating those people into one place. Each of these hobbies are things that people can easily do on their own, and when that happens it makes it more difficult to share the experiences with other people who may...

I can't offer much info, but since no else has replied...as you've been accepted to these schools you may be more familiar with them than I am. The only thing I'll point out, which you may already know, is that the area around Duke can be dangerous. I've never been there myself, but I lived in North...

I'm not sure that going to CC will necessarily help you go somewhere better in the future, even if you do well. It probably depends on where you live, but around where I am the better schools will still look heavily at your SAT. I find that surprising. Normally, the SAT and ACT is only good for get...

I really like the early 90s freestyle, though I always have trouble finding what I want to listen to since I'm not very familiar with the artists. In general, knowing music isn't my thing. I've never listened to Imagine Dragons before, but they seem good after a visit to youtube.

I'm sure it won't be as good, but I'm probably going to watch it. Avoiding spoilers for those who haven't seen it, I have a feeling some very important things are going to be changed, specifically doing away with something that would make the audience uncomfortable.

I did some searching for a fellow Sonic fan. http://www.native-languages.org/mikmaq.htm That's the best source I could I find. It seems there are plenty of old books on the language but they would likely be very hard or impossible to get, not to mention expensive. As for Fracking, people will say wh...
