They both seem unhealthy. I would suggest other connections if possible. Yeah. Person A is not a problem, she has fallen out with me, but at least she said why. Person B is more of a problem because she is part of a group who I get on with, and to cut her out would mean losing the other members of ...

It is very hard. This is probably why I keep myself alone almost entirely unless with bf (monthly) or at work. I don't like social situations that are unstructured or have no purpose for this reason. At least at work, I know the rules for not getting fired. I think I have a few different roles I pla...

Yes, so I ask for clarification before I act/respond. At work I also ask for clarification, but very rarely and its usually checks for understanding. Work EX) I think I heard you say that you would prefer if I worked faster or got this done sooner, am I understanding correctly? Personal EX) Are you ...

I can relate to this. I notice things that other people tend or NT people tend to dismiss. Early signs, issues in the system, etc. It can be frustrating to be the only one to see it, or pick up on it. It is very helpful for me professionally and I am trying to figure out other directions to go in or...

These people see me as a freak. I used to think maybe I came off as arrogant or standoffish, and have been accused of being snobby/or a know it all as a kid. But when I read this post I realized I was the joke. I was Phoebe from friends, the butt of all jokes, but at the same time completely unawar...

Hmm, not sure what do you mean by love exactly... When I care about someone, I want to make them happy, that's it. Why should I care if they think I'm wonderful? I don't think I even understand what 'wonderful' is supposed to mean in this context... Heh, looks like I really have problem understandi...

Hmm...I don't like to be admired I am not sure how you got that impression. I might be wrong, but I took it from here: It hurts a lot, and I know that some people find me wonderful, but still don't include me or stand by me through things. This is where I got the impression that you actually have a...

How would one, say, rate Albert Einstein in terms of “looks”?

Oh wow, neat thread, thanks for digging it up. These people see me as a freak. I used to think maybe I came off as arrogant or standoffish, and have been accused of being snobby/or a know it all as a kid. But when I read this post I realized I was the joke. Funny, I actually embraced being a freak,...

What you describe to me sounds like philosophical discussions which I f*****g love, although I can't find anyone to do it. I want to talk to think, not talk to inspire/convert which I feel happens under the guise of spiritual community. So I would say it sounds like it could go really south if you c...

How would I know if someone is my friend here? There are people I find myself liking even though I have only exchanged a few replies with them on a post or I have read their commentary and found it pleasing. Besides that, I am not sure how to measure friendship so I went with I don't know. Shrug.

I was raised Buddhist. I have pursued other religions and fall somewhere between everything it seems. I sometimes desire a religious group or community, but they all come down to some sort of doctrine following even the Buddhists. That's the thing about groups, they just are that way. I believe in s...
