The influence of government policy on the american economy has always been overstated. The economy is doing well right now not because of anything Trump or Obama has done, but because of factors outside of the control of the government. Politicians cannot control the economy much as they would like ... |

There is a racial issue with alcohol - East Asians typically produce way less alcohol dehydrogenase than Europeans, resulting in less capacity for alcohol consumption. They get drunk easier and they have worse hangovers. But I know of nothing similar about marijuana. I was in Netherlands where it h... |

Keep in mind: I haven't studied politics... I am in the process of leaning... I view socialism as a collectivist philosophy... That in itself limits individual autonomy, would it not? Socialism broadly speaking has no official stance on individualism or collectivism. Benjamin Tucker, for example id... |

If the place you're living feels like one more place where you're overwhelmed things will go very poorly. The good news about college is that classes take up only a moderate percentage of time and yo... |

You'll find a lot of star trek fans on this site. My personal favorite series is DS9, and my favorite character is Dr. Julian Bashir.
Congrats on getting someone to believe you. |

I wouldn't think less of someone for reading books (on the contrary), but I would for an adult who plays video games, except a bare minimum amount. I enjoy reading fiction, I enjoy playing D&D table top roleplaying games, I enjoy playing online strategy games, I enjoy watching movies. Why are 4... |
