Thoughts? This public improvement film shows the devastating result of such heresy:

You can tell by the masterful tone of the narrator's voice that it's 100% correct.

No. I never had posters on my walls of anyone famous or important. I never cared that much to try and emulate another persons' success or characteristics. Must confess I haven't noticed anybody worth emulating as a whole person since I was young. All my heroes turned out to be mixtures of good and ...

I called one of my psychiatrists a drug dealer today and she didn't deny it. Now if I could just get the other one to admit it. If you don't take your therapy seriously, don't expect results. Dealing drugs is not the same as prescribing medication. If your sarcasm and contempt is lost on this psych...

Should girls be seen as sex objects?

Depends on whether you believe in a monogamous society or not.

I'm poor with map reading and directions, unless they're very simple. It helps if I draw my own maps but I still have trouble until I've done the journey so many times that I can do it without thinking. Having said that, I love maps and find them very useful, if I have the time to really get into th...

I agree - if you've got a grievance, give us the specifics, otherwise people won't know who you're talking about or what they've done.

If I were a good shrink, I'd have reassured my client that I wasn't a drug dealer, giving convincing evidence to back up my claim. I sure wouldn't have just left it hanging in the air like that if I thought a client had such a cynical view about my capacity to help. Patient trust is vital and a good...

Don't get to carried away with all of this as it's kind of old news that's being rehashed. Researchers for decades have long suspected that many autistic traits could be attributed to 'timing' in the way the brain processes information. Many of these 'studies' are rehashes of old trials but a way t...

So often I've suspected that the root of AS is a delay problem, and now here's a study showing a delay in the brain's processing in autism. I think they may be onto something.

i had to take law courses in college as part of a business degree and when starting the business i consulted a lawyer i think that you are trying to argue points to make people beleive that you know more about the law than the person that is responsible for following them by actually being in a bus...

I don't think it's got much to do with what you're looking for. Mistakes are mistakes, and we're not talking about the wrong colour tie, we're talking about misdiagnosis, sexual harrassment, blatant disinterest in how the patient feels.......not much option but to be vigilant.

Sometimes, though, taking medication can keep things from getting worse. To me, hospitalization, not medication, is a last resort. If things are headed that way, you can bet I'll be popping pills--trust me, the hospital is a very not-nice place. It's boring and people treat you like a two-year-old-...

 Somewhere I have an mp3 of a guy who did something very much like that - it sounds like the telemarketer's real - what the guy did was to tell him that he was a police officer and that he'd phoned a murder scene. Then he starts asking why he's phoned up a dead man "so I can clear you from the...

Only once, beta blockers for anxiety, just for a week or two. It was out of desperation, I'd never felt so wound up before. Didn't notice any side effects, but I don't think they helped, maybe a bit of a placebo effect at first, but that's all. I don't believe in meds except as a last resort.

I think it depends on the joke. But overall I find it hard to understand why so many groups can't stand a bit of lampooning.

I tend to find "blonde" jokes somewhat passe.

I don't like any background sounds at all, except for some natural sounds such as thunder, birdsong, wind, running water. I can cope a lot better with continuous sounds like electric fans, but sounds that come and go at random are a problem. I hate traffic noise and the secondhand noise from other p...
