I know that there are a lot of people who say "there is no such thing as normal" or "I hate the word normal" or something similar. While I'm not trying to invalidate their opinions, I consider myself abnormal. I'm proud of the fact that almost everyone I've ever met has called me...

I think there are many different causes of autism, and it is different for each person. I think that autism is not a condition like we think of; it is a symptom of something else, like a genetic change or something in the environment. So maybe all the theories of autism's origins are correct (except...

It seems that the majority agrees that Tourettes is a neurological problem. It is thought to be caused by a faulty circuit in the basal ganglia, which is responsible for motor control. However, psychological factors such as stress and other emotions can affect the Tourettes symptoms.

Who's Will McNutt? I don't remember him.

Oops, I meant to write 'Hopefully they WILL INTRODUCE MCNUTT.' Sorry.

McNutt appeared in Masonic Mysteries. When Morse was a sergeant, McNutt was his mentor.

When I was 10, I went swimming, and a random boy (who was about 7) pulled me underwater and bumped his lips against mine. I never saw him again. I don't know if that counts.

Morse is wonderful. I've seen all the episodes too, but have never read the books. The series 'Endeavour', about the young Morse, is also marvellous - in fact better in some ways. I was at Oxford so it brings back memories. Oddly enough I often wonder if Morse is an undiagnosed Aspie. I love 'Endea...

I've seen every episode, and I'm in the process of reading all the books.

I often have interesting dreams, though I don't know if they qualify as bizarre. I don't try to interperet them. One time, I dreamed that my school building was made of cardboard. There was a pig standing on the stairs, and he was making the whole building shake. I begged the pig to stop shaking the...

Not to scare you or anything, but when we have to write essays in school, my teachers sometimes make us turn it into a website that checks for plagairism. (turnitin.com) Posting your essay in a place like this could make the result 100% plaigiarised, even though it's your own work. Turnitin.com does...

I laughed while watching Ned Stark die in Game of Thrones. I didn't think the scene itself was funny at all, but something about that scene reminded me about a funny event that happened years ago.

Ok. Maybe they were more bothered by the nature of the noise than the volume of it, and the music sounded more pleasant.

I notice that when many of my NT friends complain of a loud noise, they put on earbuds that plays music at an even louder level.

Anyone know the philosophy behind this?
