Quote:
There was no better or worse form of autism and no higher or lower; there were just different support needs

An oxymoron statement right there.

Laughable if not so tragic

Productivity is essential if you was served a meal that was not cooked properly or you was forced to wait hours for, you would soon complain about the workers productivity. The problem is when autistic people can do the job but are judged on things that are not relevant to the job, like social skil...

Interesting stuff maybe the future and way to keep everyone happy is to stop calling it autism rather curing / treating individual impairments. Even though autism is not a single condition & is made up of impairments to get a diagnosis its less politically charged They should probably target ID ...

Recent leaks confirm US lied about the state of the war. Remember US confirm the leaked secret documents are real and they show a very different picture of what’s going on. So we have public statements verses official secret assessment. The only real surprise is why anyone would be surprised after g...

This is what I was saying earlier in the thread. Someone has started a petition to send to the PM and the Chancellor about their plans to make long term sick people go to work instead of being signed off work. So it must be a real situation. To: Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Chancellor Jeremy Hunt...

I belong in this category. People say I come across as “normal.” That is because I have learned to mask. However, I have many, many debilitating symptoms. One of the new reforms the government has announced is that Job Centre work coaches will judge if people of are okay to work (rather than relyin...

This is concerning. There definitely needs to be more employment opportunities for Autistic people. But the DWP has a terrible track record for how it treats vulnerable claimants. Will vulnerable, Autistic people face pressure and bullying from DWP and Job Centres? When you look at the track record...

Prosecuting Trump was a stupid move that makes the US look bad to the rest of the world. Really? It looks like proof that no one's above the law, speaking as someone from the rest of the world. Think it just looks like they were out to get him & now they found a trivial accounting charge to pin...

Prosecuting Trump was a stupid move that makes the US look bad to the rest of the world.

The outside world will just see the main opposition candidate being taken out on trivial charges

Something that happens in Russia and other less democratic countries.

I do agree with him that Autism is both a difference and a disability. He has been quite public about saying autism is not purely a curse. He started saying that over a decade ago when that needed to be said. I don't have a problem with "autism". I have a problem with the executive dysfun...
