What is the difference between intuition and instinct? "People use these two words in different ways. One way to distinguish between instinct and intuition is to think of instinct as something you don't have a conscious choice about - it will cause you to respond to events in a particular way, ...

Bingo. Man, woman or blend. I can appreciate that they are attractive, but there's no 'urge' at all until I trust or have a close relationship with them. This would potentially create an enormous fidelity in a relationship if both parties were demisexual, I imagine... Alas, I believe this sexual or...

Having an opinion or belief (subjective) excludes the ability to determine objective meaning. If one cannot determine objective value, purpose, or intrinsic value, that in itself does not invalidate the existence of such principles, merely that the operator cannot determine them. I'm in full agreem...

That is simply semantics... And doesn't take into consideration proper/inherent/implied context... In order to be a true nihilist, are you saying you have to be a vegetable? :P Well it is a paradox, which makes it an impossibility. You can't believe in nothing if you have a belief system-- especial...

can only be learnt, intuitively, by commitment, time and observation. So you watch price charts and look for trends related to identifiable patterns that recur hourly, daily, weekly, etc. Is that what you're referring to? No, just the one time frame, not interested in trends but price. Read up on p...

Crazyfool: of course I'd be aroused by a dancing naked woman. But I'm really into intellect. I once went wild over a woman talking economics. I have a friend like that... He has a thing for Madeleine Albright and he is only 44... I had though he was odd, but after reading some of these posts I real...

I wouldn't call nihilists "poor little fellows," either. Didn't read that part. I was in a bit of a rush. Nah I wouldn't call them that, but I could make the claim that they're hypocrites. A belief in nothing is still a belief after all. That is simply semantics... And doesn't take into c...

I'd like to add to the discussion but I'm off to work now. Hope to return . You aren't off to combat in Syria are you? ;) Seriously, a very bad situation... These concepts are new to me...spooning/splining... I didn't have enough "spoons" or have enough energy to upload splines yesterday ...

It's pleasurable, but a lot of other things are pleasurable to me too and they don't require a litany of illogical interactions and power games to experience. This is what I detest about so many sexual relationships... The mind fracking that is part of...err...fracking... ;) I have reached the poin...

I've noticed a lot of people on here take things really seriously and get really bent out of shape and offended very easily. I like to joke around, poke a little fun, or make crude jokes and sometimes I get some really hateful responses. Anyone else get that vibe around these boards? Not really... ...
