People don't control memes, memes control people. The rich and poor alike are under the same control. They are all ruled by the memes. Memes are the dominant form of life on Planet Earth. /wall YES! that's it. Some people do try to control memes but in doing so they are serving other memes. There i...

Though not impossible, it is difficult to justify motivation to produce something that is just likely to be taken and abused by an evil self-serving system of egos. I'm currently doing a lot of volunteer work to help animals and shelters, and particularly some stray cats that used to have homes but ...

This Vulcan-like ability can be very useful. I call it the ability to functionally disconnect from certain brain functions. You actually still have emotions. You just can prevent them from getting out of control. I think the ability is a defense mechanism very often realized after some form of trauma.

The thing about the hive mind is that autistics may not be locked into it. However, because of a natural instinct towards emulation, the hive mind could still inhibit our happiness and free thought. The system does not bind us yet we can bind ourselves to the system. Although we do not integrate we...

I think non-autistic's knowledge about being autistic is a lot like a man's knowledge about being a woman.

I have noticed that I most often get overwhelmed by very small things, but I handle big things quite well. I agree with this. I easily overwhelmed by not being able to find my socks or taking a shower. But if something big happened like a major severe Thunderstorm I'm fairly calm compared to others...

I sometimes wonder why people with ASD are bad at reading other people non-verbal communication, you would think with the attention to detail, and strong memory that we would be good at learning this. Do you think it is because at an early age being uncomfortable with other people, avoid looking at...

Olympiadis. If you don't mind me asking has your understanding of the hive mind and binary logic gates helped you? Or just in general how has it affected your life? Well it is preferable to not knowing or just plain being confused, but overall I can't say that it helps much. Realization of such mec...

I think it's the problem with NTs and not us. NTs that conclude 90% of information from appearance are the exact people who form conceptual separations between people based on appearance, - race, weight, height, etc... For example if you show up overweight, poorly dressed, short, and/or the wrong co...

Exactly. If you knew that no other human would be around you for years, then would you still mow your lawn or dress nice? We jump through a lot of hoops for the apparent benefit of other people, but it's not a "real" benefit, just an imaginary one. Most of it is to prevent ourselves from slipping in...

Could it possibly be due to the symmetry and/or extension of the harmonics from the instrument? Is the attachment to the instrument still there when you hear someone else playing it? or do you actually have to be the one interacting with it to get the good or attached feeling? If it has to be you pl...

You can tell if an idea is "trendy" if you see Hollywood integrate the idea into a movie in order to make more money. That's one of my simple tests. I'm not suggesting autistics, or "we" are trendy, but just the idea (the meme) and what society is doing with that idea right now. Generally I find tre...

"I think everyone is on the spectrum"

"I will pray for you"

"I think you're disconnected from reality"

"You must be like that guy in the Beautiful Mind movie"

"I think it's hilarious how over-diagnosed autism is"

strive for food and survival, and now strive for fame, position, power and money...? ( food and survival,) = real ( fame, position, power and money) = illusion The real has solid physical limitations in the material world. The illusion does not have those limitations because it exists only in the i...

Olympiadis , I somewhat understand your statement, but I don?t quite agree. In my opinion it is not justifiable to state that female hierarchies would base solely on reproductive control - on ?nature?, or that on the contrary male hierarchies would base solely on the functionality of the hierarchy ...
