It is great fun driving in a dark, rainy night in an area with lots of traffic but little light except from headlights. |

BBCode is the Bulletin Board Code you can use to control how your posts are displayed. WP is running a modified version of the Bulletin Board server software so you will find some differences between what works on WP vs. what is documented here . :hmph: WP is about Autism, not BBCode, so most here ... |

Last night I watched: The War of the Worlds [1953] <=> "They came to CONQUER the EARTH!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q5tCiLnq4s One of the true classics of science fiction films. I have an emotional soft-spot for this film because it is one of the four great classic science fiction mo... |

Congratulations! And how you feel about the diagnosis is up to you. You'll find quite a few folk on WP (including me!) who were happy to get the diagnosis because it explained so much. Also, remember the only right answer on the assessment is your answer. The goal is to understand you so you should ... |

A few years ago, around the same time I was diagnosed A S D - 1 , a cousin called me "Sheldon"...given he and I mostly spent time together when we were young this is likely a reference to Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon . >- 1. I don't know if he knew about my diagnosis. + >- 2. I don't kn... |

In general, not a problem.
In 2021, however, I had a dentist appointment where they wanted to do multiple novacaine shots on my lower jaw. They didn't wait long enough and that hurt like the dickens! |

My opinion on where the grass is greenest is not changed. You say very positive things about the U.S. (thank you!) but I think you might be a little generous. The U.S. is great but I think you make it sound even greater than it is. And I seem to have a more positive expectation for the EU than you d... |

I'm surprised that BPD would not be considered a neurodiversity. I do not think it is a type of Autism, however. They might share some traits (as do ADHD and Autism) and they might co-exist in the same individual but I think they are different. In general I don't think all neurodiversities qualify a... |

I doubt there is just one answer that fits all Autistics. "If you've met one Autistic then you've met one Autistic." My personal guess would be that an early diagnosis would be useful for an individual with severe symptoms. A better understanding of their problem would seem like a ... |

My Autism might appear to have gotten weaker or stronger over time. Both! As I've gotten older I've improved my coping skills so it might look like my Autistic traits are getting weaker. Actually I'm just doing a better job of infiltrating the NT world. As I've gotten older I've gotten be... |

Some people try to divert blame from themselves by blaming anyone who blames them. Sometimes a pause followed by calmly resuming the conversation helps. But... ...how dare I offend her so badly by claiming that she had offended me... Um. She thinks she knows better than you do whether you feel offen... |
