Arthur Theophilus S. Butterworth , A phrase often used regarding Autistics is: <=> "If you've met one Autistic you've met one Autistic." + + In other words, we're all different , and if you are Autistic you'll be just as much a unique person as the rest of us are. Note that your parents m...

Da_Zero_A_Dieci 's post reminds me that I should mention those two online tests only give an indication, not an official diagnosis. When I and my bride decided I was probably o n t h e A u t i s m S p e c t r u m we didn't know whether or not we should trust our suspicions—my score on the AQ test c...

However, of course, after white the most common colors are blue and green. I especially enjoy it when the snowflakes coming down are in a variety of colors. T...

I don't make eye contact because it makes me feel uncomfortable, there's too much information. That phrase "the eyes are a window into the soul" has a ring of a truth to it. I need to be able concentrate on what's being said, I can't handle seeing how much pain somebody has gone through i...

I hope afterwards you decide getting an Adult Autism Assessment was a good thing to do. I know I'm glad I got one. The best diagnosis is a correct diagnosis. And if they declare you are not Autistic then you know to look elsewhere for an answer. And if the diagnosis is A u t i s m S p e c t r u m D ...

OK, I'm a youngster... I was diagnosed shortly before my 65 th birthday and now I am a mere 68. Having made it that far without a diagnosis I was not looking for any practical benefits from a diagnosis. I was looking to better understand myself. I had long felt like I was "different"...
