^ I couldn't ask for better family. The food was good, but my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. It was good to sit outside. It's been a long time since I've been able to do that . I'm very much an 'indoors' person, but there's a big difference between choosing whether you go out or not vs...

^Thank you. I tend to feel very self conscious about my photo being taken.

I'm surprised that you didn't get more responses. Perhaps I should have framed it as a question. That was what I was told several years ago when not getting many replies. It's actually a load of mindless BS. Framing things as a question doesn't make much difference. I'm just low down the list of pe...

First one at the cafe I used to go to in 2.5 years. I didn't feel confident enough yet to use the stroller , as it's a 10 minute walk with some of it being uphill. It's been a good day.

The '150' might be a slight exaggeration, but it's by far the longest distance I've walked since the couple of falls last October. I felt like resting a couple of times, kraftiekortie..

This afternoon I walked around the perimeter of this block of flats with the stroller-without stopping to sit down. My (s)daughter and gt grandson were with me. My (s)dau said I’d done well. It was maybe a 150 metres (rough guesstimate) In the grand scheme of things it was a somewhat minor achieveme...

I wasn't liked at both prep and public school, but the verbal bullying was quite a bit worse at public school. Because he knew he couldn't be punished, as it was the last meal we'd both ever have at prep school, a boy put tobacco in my tea. I drunk the tea having no idea what he'd done. I was violen...

I'm sorta the same as firemonkey, and my HFA + Schizophrenia combo likely makes me akin to a moderately functioning autistic. I'll always be independent, albeit quite poor, but that's alright. A disability pension keeps me fed and the bills paid. The roof, I lucked out on. I should've replied to yo...

I had piano lessons as an extra curricular activity at prep school. I was so bad that in the 5 years I did it I was never good enough to pass grade 1. When it came to Maths I was terrible at geometry. I do reasonably well on high range numerical IQ tests, but I'm very far from being a mathematical ge...

I'd classify myself as 'middle functioning'. I live independently with a fair amount of help mainly from my (s)daughter and to a lesser extent my granddaughters. I was given a booklet at the post dx appointment , and later was sent a list of what was discussed at that appointment. My needs have ten...

The arrogant, bullying, pig ignorant boys who made my time at British public school an utter misery- they shaped my political views , not ASD. Why were you in public school? Was this to give you a shot at "upward mobility"? Ir was the done thing then for the children of diplomats. My father...

I know the three of you are right, but I feel like a bit of a failure. Normally I don't try that hard at things, and tend to give up quite easily. However I've bucked the trend getting over the falls, and I've really made a strong effort to get better walking wise.
