Criminals, drunks, junkies, schizos, thieves . . . the homeless population is full of undesirable people; the advocates are full of naive people who believe their social-science degrees make them experts on everything; and the people who see the Big Picture (especially those of us who have been hom... |

Why do all those who want to solve the "Homeless Problem" refuse to just go out and invite a few homeless people to come home and live with them for free? THAT would solve the "Homeless Problem", for sure! But NOOooo . . . "someone else" always has to do it. The Repu... |

Many here have train stations, excellent schools and modern hospitals. They also have decent job opportunities if humanities ain't your thing. Many here in US such as my midwestern town of about 7,000 do not. Being the county seat we DO have a courthouse and jail, But hospital? Nope. Nearest hospit... |

Why is it that cities only ever come up during the homeless debate? Cities are stupid places to find affordable housing, that's why I don't live in one and I'm perplexed why smaller towns are overlooked. Small towns in both US and UK also have small job opportunities, small health care, small rehab... |

People do get rehoused in different communities. A big issue, though, is that this can mean taking people away from their support network, or their job, or their friends and family. Moving from Cardiff to Bridgend might not be so bad. Moving from London to Rochester or Tonbridge might not be so bad... |

Homelessness is mainly a substance abuse problem it seems. It's rare that homes just disappear unless outbid pure bad luck. Not everywhere. Plenty of sober people who work full time can't find or afford a home now. They live in cars, or park their cars and sleep in a forest. etc. Hundreds, maybe Th... |

I think you're being a bit generous with the secondary problems these people have (being homeless the primary) I honestly wouldn't have much faith in the majority of homeless people getting back on track by simply giving them a home. Perhaps this is a difference between Wales and North America? Bac... |

Since early teen hood I've had a passion for physical fitness and swore, when I was like 14, that my legs would NEVER get flabby or old looking. I'm over 50 and my legs are so athletic looking and toned. They don't have that aged look. My BMI is 21 point something. The obesity in autistic women I s... |

I noticed weight seems to vary more in autistics with my observation seeming to suggest that when weight is outside the norm, men seem more likely to be obese or underweight and women generally obese to a more extreme extent rather than underweight. |

Am I the only one that has noticed I seem to be under more scrutiny than NT's for innocuous behaviour? Come back home after walking past a family having a BBQ.....arson. Has a telescope in bedroom window looking out over some of the best views in the country.......peeping tom. Not only that, but cha... |

This has been known for some time. The early indo-Europeans consumed a suspected mushroom concoction called soma which contained psylocibin which has similar hallucinogenic properties to LSD. On the commons dotted around the countryside where I live here in Wales, shrooms are the main crop (and I a... |

I think autism in males is more noticeable I males. Being shy and a bit socially awkward is not a good trait to have as a male whereas I think in women people are more likely to overlook it, assuming they even notice. |
