Those who claim they are just different I bet you they come from privileged backgrounds. For the rest of us life with autism can be hell on earth. Not to mention those with intellectual disabilities and their families. I come from a relatively privileged background. My father was a diplomat. I was ...

I was 9 waiting quietly for the headmaster to come in and start the lesson. Other boys were being rather boisterous. The headmaster stormed in and, with a stern look on his face, approached me. 'What are you doing?' he said . I said I was doing nothing, as in not making a racket. ' Well you should b...

With a dx of schizophrenia( as well as ASD) I do worry about dementia, as there's an increased risk with the schizophrenia. My father at 92 now has to use a cane, but cognitively is a lot sharper than many half his age. If I can get fairly near to that I'll be happy. I'm checking my visual reaction ...

On the 15th I officially became a geriatric/pensioner. Cognitively I still feel as sharp as ever, but the last 15 months has seen my physical health go in a downward direction- falls resulting in reduced mobility, atrial fibrillation , swollen legs and feet for which I'm getting compression stocking...

That doesn't sound right FM. I live in a house. Are you getting any payments from the government, you should be entitled to and getting the 'Energy Bills Support Scheme' (£60? a month) and you should be entitled to a one-off payment of £150 called the 'Warm Home Discount' which I had to apply for. ...

My latest monthly bill,I don't have gas, was just under £400. I live in a small flat( but adequate size for me) consisting of kitchen-lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Energy crisis or not the prices are ridiculous. We have an intellectually and morally bankrupt Tory government more concerned with share...
