For quite some while I've noticed that my sense of taste fluctuates. It's especially noticeable with sweet tasting things. Anyone else here experience the same? |

I don't get why it can be acceptable to be openly contemptuous of people you think aren't very intelligent , but posting an image of a good result you got, with no disdain for other people, is seen as a major faux pas |

So Twitter is going to go downhill very fast now. Oh well, I suppose it's inevitable. I expect Elon will introduce paid plans too. I'd found a nice community on Twitter full of genuine people who are now my friends. That community will probably not last now that 'free speech' i.e. racist, homophobi... |

There's very little that's truly radical about the 1st lot. Their quixotic desire to enable the Tories until their version of an ideologically pure party can be achieved is regressive and not progressive. |

For me it's whether he wants to do something constructive, intelligent, and positive with Twitter or about the avaricious desire to possess yet another thing. I suspect the latter, but hope I'm wrong. I would not be happy if it became subscription based, and even more geared towards the the affluent... |

An antisemitic, anti disabled, pseudo-socialist party that counts success as how much media coverage it's gets as a perpetual protest party , vs a radical but pragmatic party that is a 'broad church', and sees electability as the cornerstone of actually helping people? |

I would if I could. Think of a high quality, well designed train vs one far from well designed. |

Simplistic declarative statements are seldom "true". They are often used to express or create emotional effects. It can be especially confusing if one has the expectation that language is supposed to express, if not truth, than at least accuracy. I firmly believe that to be a genius requi... |

I can relate to that, certainly. I'm about a .235 hitter in life, too. The difference is that I was under the Mendoza Line for most of my childhood and adolescence. The Mendoza line is .200. Are you a baseball fan? I'm less of a baseball fan than I used to be, re keeping up with what's happening. I... |

The hype.
The reality. I'm like the baseball player that batted .310 in the minor leagues. Stepped up to the major leagues and ended up with a .235 average. Being online plays to my strengths. Offline it's the total opposite. |

My mum used to do that when we went to a Chinese or Indian restaurant. My brother, sister, and I could get embarrassed about her doing it. |

I think it's me. I'll have an exchange of emails with someone , but sooner or later it fizzles out. It doesn't help that not much of great interest happens in my life. I have a very limited lifestyle . |

There's no way I could control the women in my life. They're independent, intelligent and strong minded women. Exactly how they should be. |

When you don't want to upset people by rejecting friendship requests, but you're scared/worried that the more they get to know you the more they'll see a reason to reject you. |
