My brother and one of my 1st cousins are ND but not Autistic, I have a 2nd cousin who is diagnosed Autistic, and a 3rd cousin who my mom and I suspect may be Autistic based on what her mom (my mom’s 2nd cousin) has told us about her. |

I posted this on a different thread bit I think you could use tgis advice too @The Grand Inquisitor. We’re the same age. I can deeply relate to how you feel. For a long I too thought I would never be in a relationship. My best advice for you would be to see if there are any autistic adult social/sup... |

@Dorkseid, I can deeply relate to how you feel. For a long I too thought I would never be in a relationship. My best advice for you would be to see if there are any autistic adult social/support groups in your area. If not, do what I did and create one yourself! Send out emails to all of the therapi... |

Some people just get screwed over in the dating game through no fault of their own. I know a guy who's a perfectly nice and easy going fellow but I doubt he's ever going to get married, have a family, or even have a girlfriend. He's a legitimate 2/10 on the lookscale; grossly overweight, very ugly ... |

Sounds super inspiration-porny to me as well. He isn’t actually the first openly-autistic contestant on the show. James Durbin, who came in 4th place in one of the earlier seasons about a decade ago, was also open about it, but if my memory serves me correctly he didn’t make a huge deal of it or use... |

And LGBTQ+ women seem to greatly outnumber straight women in autism rights activism. Hmm, I haven't gotten the impression that LGBTQ+ women "greatly outnumber" hetero women, but I agree that there are lots of highly visible LGBTQ+ women in autistic rights activism. That's probably because... |

What we need is job training for ND/Autistic folks who are interested in OTHER fields too. The more that this stereotype of “all Autistics are good at STEM” gets pushed, the worse it is for our community as a whole. |

Given your interest in politics, have you considered getting involved in the autistic rights movement (a branch of the disability rights movement)? If you choose to get involved in autistic rights activism, ple... |

China has so many people that even the countryside is crowded.
I’ve seen it firsthand. |

There are A LOT of single Autistic guys out there. Don’t waste your time trying to date NTs. If you and a potential partner go into a relationship knowing each other are Autistic, it saves a lot of energy not having to worry about when/how to disclose. We’re often also a lot more direct when duscuss... |

I have a friend who is a lot like what the OP describes. Also female, but white instead of Native American. I am also white, but have some Asian and Jewish descent also. I agree that it’s sooo annoying having someone remind you of your “privilege” constantly… |

I’m one if those Autistics who gets super lonely and depressed when I don’t have people to hang out with. In a sense, my friends keep me sane. I’m not exactly the most extroverted person, but I’m no introvert either. |

I’ve been able to since I was 5 or 6 years old. Learning to tie shoes correctly was one of my earliest special interests. |
