That's amazing.
Does your son play piano or any other instruments?

He played the drums in school band, but he wasn’t into it at all. I gave the drums to one of my students with his approval (of course).

I’ve encouraged him to find another instrument, but he’s just not that interested in music.

My exbf has a doctorate in composition and Spanish guitar.
He used to tune MD's cello.
I wonder if she'd still be interested in playing it.

Are you learning now by video (YouTube etc), or just by practice?

Just practice. Right now, I’m a late intermediate/early advanced player.

You should get one.

My mom recently got a cello. She’s always wanted to play one. I’ve played with it a little. It sounds very nice.

I took lessons when I was a kid. My family struggled financially when I was a young teenager so they had to get rid of the piano and my lessons stopped. That was a very traumatic time in my life. I’m saying this as a person who’s been through a lot. My dream was to go to Juilliard which was probably...

I'm kinda thinking about getting a used piano. There are lots of them for free in classified if you can move them. I don't play but everyone else in my life does. You sound very talented, TP. I can't read a single note. I played clarinet in middle school and took organ lessons, but don't remember a...

Three dates is the point where sex is considered acceptable once a relationship is established. It isn't necessarily required. That would be like weeks or months before you know someone well. So it's basically sex with strangers. I somehow doubt that having sex so soon would typically lead to stabl...

I wish we could go beyond the Earth-Moon system. There is so much in the Universe which we have no knowledge of. We might be able to speculate using the “laws of physics”—but I feel we really won’t know, say, Alpha Centauri until we actually come in the area of it. I don’t know. Whitman was enthral...

What would happen if Jesus Himself was portrayed as a “high-functioning” autistic person? What would happen if he was portrayed as a sexy, bisexual, free-lovin’, hippy who had affairs with his groupies? That’s my preferred version of Jesus. Most likely he was some nutty guy who would be in a psych ...

Actually, Bart Ehrman, who I cited above, was a believer until in-depth research into the Bible made him change his stance. I fall into this demographic as well. His classes are excellent. Here is some info on him from Wikipedia: He began studying the Bible, biblical theology, and biblical language...

I play the piano.

I can also play Mary Had a Little Lamb on the recorder. :P

I briefly took voice lessons. Sometimes I think about getting back into it.

I would also like to play a violin or cello.

I’m not sure how well female sexuality was understood in ancient times. The writer(s) of Matthew may have thought that sexual desire/lust was more of a male problem. Genesis 2: Unto the woman he said, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth chil...

Maybe I don’t understand because I’m a demisexual. I don’t really experience physical attraction.

I can’t really understand not finding people of a particular race attractive. Finding someone attractive and being attracted to them are two different things IMO although, in either case, I don’t understand making distinctions based on race. It doesn’t matter to me. My first boyfriend was black. I w...

Natalie Portman was great in the Black Swan. It’s one of my favorite movies.
