Don't have drugs or alcohol would probably be the best solution to this. I don't understand why people think drugs and alcohol are the be all and end all then expect sympathy when they're ill.

Not quite sure what "sincerity" means, even after looking it up on Google I still don't see how it suits the question the OP is asking, so I'm not sure how to answer. I'll give my two cents anyway, and sorry if this is irrelevant. I've been told by close NTs whom I trust that a lot of NTs ...

I don't mask that much. I'm sort of myself at work. The only time I mask is when someone says something that I call one of my "forbidden words" (words that have triggered me to get angry) and I have to pretend like it doesn't bother me and just respond appropriately. I do know my social bo...

I have read it is a symptom of ADHD. I'm surprised this thread hasn't got more replies. Or is it less common in autism than it is in ADHD? RSD usually comes from being social as a person, so maybe that's why many autistics can't relate to it. I've just never had something that describes me so much. ...

I heard of modern TVs and laptops randomly combusting.

I'd rather die in a house fire than to survive and lose all my (irreplaceable) valuables.

I'm just scared I'm going to lose my s**t one of these days. You know that adrenaline rush you get when something really angers or excites you? Well I sometimes get that, and it makes me grab a broom and bang it on the ceiling screaming "SHUT UP!! !" It never makes a difference though but ...

Literally all day long they haven't stopped thumping and banging upstairs. It's torture having to live below them. My boyfriend won't let me get in contact with the landlords because he's worried it might make things worse. But it's not fair on me, it's causing me distress in my own home. I'd just l...

I probably would have been fine without a stupid Asperger's diagnosis. Although I wouldn't have got one-to-one support at school had I not been diagnosed, I still would have been on the special ed table because I wasn't very bright in class and needed help with math, science and other complicated su...

So many different disorders can be mistaken for autism these days, or each autism symptom seems to be a disorder on its own. That's why I wish the autism spectrum was still kept to the minimal standards of non/limited-verbal, socially clueless people, rather than people who had no speech delays and ...

Why some family movies like to make cats disgusting (like burp or fart) as if to portray that cats are rude and dirty, when actually they're much more clean and elegant than dogs.

That's why I love Disney's The Aristocats, because it shows what lovely animals cats really are.

^ Correct. There is no cast-in-stone "three strikes and you're out" ruling. Joe, if you're uncertain of how your commentary may be received on any given topic you can either consider it carefully and maybe rephrase before posting, or simply not post at all. There's no shame in not comment...

I remember having a tantrum in public when I was 11. I was with my family visiting a castle, and there weren't really anyone else around, and I was behaving with a sulky attitude because castles didn't interest me and I was bored. When my dad got angry with me my mum said to him "she's got Aspe...

When I watch videos on YouTube of severely autistic children or adults, their meltdowns seem sort of in intervals. I can't explain it. One time I saw a video of an autistic 8-year-old, and he was in "meltdown mode". He had ear defenders on and kept flapping his hands and shouting. He was v...
