People who use the term microaggressions seem to eagerly mete out accusations that someone has said something discriminatory which can actually lead to the person who is targeted to not change their behaviour because of the way they have been treated by that person. It has in fact made them dig the...

To hunt and fish without limitations, we would need much lower population density.

Contributing helps find a meaning in life. It can be formal (i.e. employment), it can be not (i.e. helping neighbours) but it does.

I can also add that you can talk about LGBT in entirely family-friendly ways, without going into any "technical" details. My younger daughter asked me who are gays when she was 5. Trying to find possibly neutral terms that a 5yo would understand, I answered that they are men who fall in l...

And that's reasonable prepping.
Full-scale SHTF is unlikely but various problems with infrastructure and supply chains can happen at any time.

Look at real world data. Mariupol is devastated and depopulated - which means, it originally had over 400 000 people but now there are about 100 000 people. Freezing and starving. A city "bereft of people" still has some 1/5 of its population and that's a lot. But that begs the question, ...

Thanks for the info, Magz. I hope the Ukrainians who have been trained in the West will know enough to operate the tanks. They need to be trained for particular tanks. Of course, they will be. I'm surprised how open Britain has been about training Ukrainian soldiers. I'd keep my mouth shut if I was...

No crews from the West. Just equipment. These are the rules of supporting a fighting side vs entering the war. So, now, several weeks of training for Ukrainian crews. The delay is not that much of a problem because, unless there is a long spell of deep freezing, the "anti-tank weather" wil...

Iraq is in a mess today, mostly due to Iran/KSA's interference in it, Iran literally vaccumed Iraq's wealth for years and that's why we have seen large protests against Iran's presense in Iraq; but that wouldn't have happened if not a large portion of their people swore allegiance to Iran (mainly d...

Good. Pressure on Germany worked again. As one commenter pointed out - Ukrainians will have to deal now with a "military Babel tower", with T-72, Leopards, Challengers and Abrams, each of them built and working very differently... but better with than without, they need trained soldiers re...

Automatization happens anyway. The same amount of goods can be produced with less amount of human work. It's just a reality economies and societes need to adapt to. Ya its gonna happen regardless one way or the other but I wish I could of lived in a different time in history that had way less of it...

Akathisia is listed among possible side effects of aripiprazole. I had generally awful experiences with anipsychotics - and it finally turned out, I didn't need any, I was just misdiagnosed. If you have bad side effects, tell it to your doc and try something different. Did you have any actual psycho...
