Plenty of well-loved, famous people who've committed or tried to commit suicide - Kurt Cobain, Robin Williams, Terry Pratchett, etc.
Popularity doesn't magically make your problems go away. It just means more people paying attention to your problems. |

The cutoffs are going to be inherently arbitrary. At 13, my dad could go into a liquor store and not get carded, so an adult or much older teen being attracted to him wouldn't have been abnormal at all because he was basically indistinguishable from an adult visually (tall guy with a full beard and ... |

What if any overlap in symptoms are there between BPD and autism? Is it possible to be misdiagnosed as having BPD when it may be autism or are the commonalities between these two disorders lies in the fact that they can be co-morbid? I was diagnosed with BPD last year, but have felt for years that ... |

In my experience, the vast majority of guys I've known who complain about their looks are decent-looking guys who struggle with dating for personality reasons rather than looks reasons. |

Anyway, so in the conversation it came up that of those 4 guys, 3 were in arranged marriages and one had gotten married "for love". And the one that got married for love was the only one now divorced. Did the 3 in arranged marriages mention anything about how satisfied they were in their ... |

I'm now 35 weeks along and my kid is as wiggly as ever! It hurts now, kid keeps punching my bladder and kicking my lungs. I'm really looking forward to being able to see those wiggles instead of feeling every single one. |

I'm not sure I want to participate in that. Both me and my wife wants a third child and we're hoping to have a NT child so the two boys will have some kind of support in life after we are gone in case they don't develop enough to be able to live an independent life. Of course that's not the only re... |

There are lots of ways to engage with a special interest besides buying collectibles. And there's no point in comparing yourself to others and trying to get a more extensive collection of stuff. |

The girls are all 9-12 and they tried to talk to me about kid lesbians and bisexuals at their school. I said that's not okay- kids should not be into that at your age. Don't hang out with people who are talking like that to you. That's mean! said one of them. The others looked relieved. But why are... |

IQ doesn’t mean all that much outside a “Western,” mainstream context. People like Dinka tribespeople would probably score low even if they are geniuses. Hence, the “racial” thing. I don’t see what can be “cultural” about just math, unless you say some cultures are poorly educated. IQ test is all a... |

That said, pornography is made to be enjoyed explicitly by serving the consumer's sexual feelings. So if you get off to kids, even in a fictional context, even just in your head, you might not be doing something illegal at that time, but you are by defenition a pedophile. Otherwise give me a better... |

I used to have vaginismus so I understand how much pain you feel. A nurse who actually understood and took it seriously gave me a lidocaine cream that I could apply to numb the whole area before the smear test. That really helped. I hope I can have this. I'm a huge wimp when it comes to pain. I hav... |

Kerch wrote: Also "f**ked-up fictional content" can still make you a pedophile.
That's like saying that writing murder mysteries makes you a serial killer. Fiction is fictional. It doesn't necessarily reflect what you like in real life. |

I'm a very creative person who writes a lot of fiction, so most of my imagining of conversations that don't involve me involve fictional characters. But I do sometimes imagine other real people discussing me in my absence. Usually in unflattering ways, when I'm afraid that people secretly dislike me... |
