For an ordinary guy he was intelligent enough. But as POTUS? No. The same applies to Biden, imo. Biden has several decades of political experience under his belt. I think that alone is a great qualification. My understanding is, that Biden has decades of being a *mediocre* politician. But he does m...

and (c) even if your side wins, they regain power in the next election cycle with the campaign theme "waaah, persecution!"? That last theme is relevant. Here in Australia the christian fundamentalists think they are like the christian martyrs who sent to the lions when they don't get thei...

Maybe in a couple hundred years. I won't be around to see it. Damn! ;) Nice to see you back, btw. Thanks, but it’s temporary - an extremely brief relapse. I’ll touch base with my therapist on Monday. You don't have to be insane to post here... ...but it sure as hell helps. <hug> But it helps

In many regions, culture seems to be largely segregated by race. I noticed this was especially true in the southern US. Cultures have a drastic impact on how most people develop because most people are highly impressionable. In many regions, this can cause most people within an ethnic group to beha...

Sometimes, they get off under their own volition. We have to counteract the forces which prevent people from getting on that bus in the first place. And the only way to do it-----is to enforce equality of opportunity. We must seek an ideal----a point where people can relegate racism to the past. Wh...

Cyberdad opined that most Americans on WP are moderately conservative. I don't know if that's true, but I have seen a lot of people whose views are somewhat progressive, but they get bent out of shape over wokeness, probably as they perceive that many who don't benefit from white privilege are neve...

You are new here. The majority of posters are American and are (relatively speaking) white moderate conservatives who largely dislike political correctness, I'm fairly new here and cyberdad's description of the forum doesn't match my experience so far. Maybe it's more historical and those people ar...
