I know people who call their 4-year-olds "babies"---and that's fine with me.

Is your little girl talking yet? (note: I didn't talk till I was 5 1/2 years old).

My two adult children are still my babies. But to avoid confusion I do not usually refer to them as such.

She can't do it again if her car doesn't go. This will keep the baby safe. Why not give her a chance to realize this on her own? It sounds to me like she's been in emotional turmoil because of the way your child reacts to the seat. Instead of confrontation, why not allow her to see the solution you...

I believe when it's racial the term is "Becky". "Karen"s carp about anything and everything and can be POC. Another thing regarding the Island where this took place, is the locals are predominantly POC. Actually the local media there dubbed her "Beach Karen" so that la...

Leaving behind the self-styled shaman for a moment ... IF a member of QAnon did actually tell the man his wife was CIA, then wouldn't that actual QAnon member be guilty, at least, of some version of conspiracy to commit murder? I wonder if that is being investigated. Or maybe not, given that the art...

I told her that if it happens again I'm removing the distributor from her car. Not exactly the reasoned, rational and sympathetic discussion I was envisioning. Just saying. It's almost like you are challenging her to fight you, dig her heels in, and maybe even lie to you. OK, I don't know her or yo...

Of course it's the law but how do I force someone to obey the law? Call the police on her? I don't think that in the stress of the moment she's really aware that she is breaking the law and, if she is, she isn't thinking of it as being any different than going a little over the speed limit. But it ...

So now I've had a third party done the interviews and tests. Only missing the medical + parents interview and then I get back my results on the 21st of april. I was waiting to be scheduled for examination a year ago and they didn't have the resources to deal with it so I got a private agent to fix ...

I recommend pulling personal opinions out of it and following the law. Where I live, you'd be breaking the law to not have a child under 4 or 5 PROPERLY secured in a car seat or booster (depending on size and weight). Car seat laws are written strictly because doing so saves lives. If you dig into t...

I feel like it’s actually good, in a way, when an adult is around when kids are discussing sexuality—as long as the adult takes a scientific, yet romantic, stance on it. And not impart any ignorant notions upon the conversation. With the topic front and center in the US culture wars right now, I th...

That's a lot to unpack, but I think the simplest way to approach all these questions is "my property, my rules," while ignoring the rest. Young kids act differently towards different adults, so there is no way to know how they act with their parents or with their teachers, and is unfair to...

Who funded the study? Pfizer or Moderna? There has been speculation that because Ivermectin is dirt cheap in comparison to other "cures"/treatments/preventions, it is ridiculed because there isn't enough profit in it. Would I be surprised if this was actually the case? Could big business ...

I'm going to guess that the actual call came after the students refused to leave voluntarily. The article skips a lot of details, but clearly states that the professor asked them to leave after they arrived late. Which would make the call related to refusal to leave (trespassing) and not the actual ...

In defense of vaccines overall, I will share an anecdote, which I know isn't science, but it IS one more piece of information that, for me, provides credibility to the mainstream COVID-19 recommendations. My son, who had neglected to get his booster as recommended, got COVID-19 a few weeks ago. He h...
