Well, given the latest turn, I fully support your doing your best to swim. It's OK to fall a few times along the way; that is how you learn. Start small, build up. Best wishes for success!

Donald Trump illustrates some of the traits that are going extinct in this world. Nope, I am not talking about his looks or style. lol Former President Trump is a man who can stand upright and who commands respects.✊ Trump was one of the few standing up against that plandemic. Covid was sold as a v...

I hadn't considered the factor Juliette brought in, but it does make sense to me. My son is only lightly affected by his ASD, but he has always had strong associations with specific locations. Schoolwork belonged at school, for example, so homework was always a huge hurdle. In college, when he had t...

If your point is that the most creative people have fled Hollywood for the freedom of cable, then you are correct.[/color] Is it still called "cable "? Streaming services? But I think "cable" is still the term I hear most. A bit like saying "Kleenex" for tissues, maybe...

I feel like your post covered the bases of possibilities and I don't know how to decide which it most likely is. I suggest you keep visiting on a regular and predictable schedule but plan on short visits. Let him know by showing up with no expectations that you care, and will always love him uncondi...

According to library “American Jews tend to favor Democratic candidates, with 71% of Jewish voters choosing Democratic candidates on average and 25% choosing Republicans since 1968. “ That tracks with my personal experience. Although, I also tend to have a very liberal social network to start with.

Unfortunate and frustrating what is happening to her. However, there isn't anything that can be done while there is a war, is there? Diplomatic ties are strained. Unfortunately I can't tell for sure when the US state department issued it's red level warning against travel to Russia; may have been af...

I didn't need to do an interview to go to university. Is that a US thing? When I signed up, I just submitted my papers, paid the entrance fee, and I was in. Here in the US it varies quite a lot. Some schools have interviews for all admission candidates. Some schools have single departments that wan...

haha..that's funny to point out that I'm the rigid one, but there is truth to that. I am doing a lot of black and white thinking here....if he doesn't go to college "the way I did" he will never have a successful life (whatever that means). This might be a holdover from the expectations t...

Since both my son and his girlfriend are ASD, I have witnessed just how profoundly some of the differences can affect the university experience. I don't think...

Thank you so much for writing all of that. That helps so much. I feel some relief. It's so hard being a mom to these kids (I guess to all kids). I think I am struggling with his teenagerhood and transition to college being so so different than mine and my brothers. We both were straight A students ...
