Too many people press in on my mind. Like the explosion that triggers nuclear fusion. I flee to the isolated places to maintian my stability, to avoid meltdown I need places free of people, so I can exist. Yes! Nothing wrong with filtering out crappy beings on a regular basis. 8) Nature is fantasti...

I live where it is very hot and humid and thought I would share a few tips for making the serious oppressive heat/humidity slightly more bearable. These are just put forth as suggestions, many may not work for you. Wear cotton clothing only. It is the coolest and most breathable fabric. It also will...

I don't personify things but I'm often very reluctant to throw anything away, and I hate it when stuff gets damaged. I keep all kinds of things for decades after their usefulness is over. When I contemplate trashing things, I start thinking that I might need them again one day. It's hard to talk my...

But some counselors sometimes are helpful for some clients I agree completely that some counsellors are good for some people. I also think it is presumptuous for a therapist to think they can tell others how to live their lives. And each one thinks their method is the one and only. Sort of like rel...

Here is a radical idea... Educate the ignorant great unwashed... What if the "ignorant" don't have the intellectual capacity to understand the rational discourse? (Not meant to be cheeky, but actually inquiring???) Damn! You saw that critical error in my reasoning... You must be one of th...

This is a touchy topic for me. 8O My opinion, that the vast majority of therapists don't know what they are doing and that therapy is frequently worse than useless, is one that I keep to myself because so many people I have met have described it as life saving and wonderful and whatever. After readi...

^^^^^ Excellent! OP, when I was growing up, nobody had any ideas about asperbergers or autism, and I spent a LOT of my life trying to fit in, trying to stuff down special interests, trying to move forward to.....I don't know what. So, in spite of all the things I have done in life, which are conside...

Intellectual and rational discourses are good for university professors, but not for ordinary peoples who don't know how to properly think; telling them is not enough, they must be shown . Conservatives are manipulating emotions through lies, but liberals have the opportunity to manipulate emotions...

are you talking about cheating on one's mate? It does seem like folks on WP HATE to be actually understood! They so often fail to explain the terms they use. You would think that the OP would know that even on an autism website most folks only know the term "elope" in it's common context ...

You could say, "What aspect of my personality leads you to think I have autism?"
or
"Do you think that characteristic could have its roots in some other cause?

Their responses will likely make it clear if they are trolling you or actually interested and you can respond appropriately.

I try to keep updated on stuff and it always just leaves me depressed. I really hate it, You'd think there is a better way if if the main way causes so much distress. And that last bit is the real reason I bring this up. Think very, very hard on this: Has taking an interest in politics, taking part...
