| So we're talking about giftedness . How do we define it in this thread? Can we even define it? The person driving the Fredex or DHL truck and doing it really well won't be called gifted by most although I think he or she is gifted. Will I ever be called gifted by people who call themselves gifted? ... |

| I was in a band but, amazingly, we didn’t have a gig that night. So I was playing in a scratch band in a local hall. It was mental and great fun. I was just getting over a serious bout of flu, but I thought whatever I do tonight will set the tone for the next thousand years… so I went for it. |

Also checkout the tv series “Farscape”. There are living ships in that. Series is on Amazon Prime if you can get that.
An excellent idea (for me) would be to have some sort of tension between the ship and crew. Maya… the Farscape ship… actually has a baby ship in one series, that causes some trouble. |

| I usually say "Yes, I'm staying home reading a book". I get the strangest looks, as if that couldn't possibly be fun. Sometimes they ask what I'll be reading but their eyes glaze over when I name German philosophy, literary criticism, or a biography on some dead sod from the 19th Century.... |
