Is it possible to have what I would call, for want of a better phrase, 'micro zone outs'? A possible alternative would be 'micro absence seizures'. It 's a briefer but more frequently occurring version of an absence seizure. I've noticed with the human benchmark reaction time test I'll get what I wou... |

I don't think I've ever deliberately masked. I just don't have what's needed to process things IRT and adjust accordingly. Sometimes I see autistic twitter as being like an 'achievement' version of Monty Python's '4 Yorkshiremen sketch' 'I got a first class degree while experiencing intense sensory ... |

I think it's the combination that has me questioning things, rather than the intensity of symptoms and high achievement taken separately. Taken separately there's nothing overly unusual about them. It's certainly not a case of being overawed by the level of intelligence on display. Except when impos... |

That reads tweets from autistic people and finds themself doubting their dx. It seems to be full of autistic people having the worst sensory etc symptoms you could imagine while still doing very well achievement wise. |

There are a few criteria I tend to use if I have to judge a person's integrity. If they talk to me like a salesman would, with the characteristic hyperboles, appeals to emotion, over-positive claims etc., I'm likely to view them with suspicion. That raises a red flag for me. He was full of praise f... |

When I was very young he used to make up bedtime stories. As his marriage to my mother got worse and worse he became more and more of a 'I'm the head of the house and you'll do what I say or else' type of father. In 1981 he went to serve as British consul general in Atlanta. Since then I've seen him... |

I would trust the group admin. I can't trust my own perception or opinion when I meet people. I'm not very good at reading people at all. I don't think it means your friend is a bad person. Maybe he did invite 200 people to the group. Just keep in mind that you should be cautious. Protect your pers... |

I've been exchanging DMs with someone I first interacted with on a Facebook group. He's seemed fine to me, but has been accused by a group admin of inviting 200 new FB accounts with few friends to the group. The admin was apparently warned about him months ago.
I don't know what to believe. |

Thinking about it more I could be a lot worse re money management. Although I can be impulsive I'm not drowning in debt. I like to have at least £3k in savings. Is there any reason why £3k specifically? Not at all. |

Do you mean "great" as in "wonderful" or as in your "grandchild's children"? Because I don't think you're old enough to be a great grandfather! But your grandchildren are great! :) My late wife was nearly 22 years older than me. They're not blood related, but I... |
