My most pervasive interest isn't achievable.

When you say you have spent 9 months in a cage - do you mean a metaphysical cage or a physical cage?

Oh I've spent way, way more than nine months in a metaphorical cage. :) No, that was nine months in a literal, physical cage. Think of a large dog kennel with thicker bars.

I tend to use intuition more than breaking people down into psychological parts, when I talk to them. As do I - today. That's actually why I drew from the poker book even though we aren't taking about poker. In order to take what I now do subconsciously and/or via a highly developed intuition and b...

I was a professional poker player for twenty-four years and my first book was on no-limit. There is a chapter in that book entitled, “If you meet the needs of your opponents, they will meet yours.” I go on to say, This is a basic truism of life – not just poker. Find out what drives your opponent em...

It’s about to get real. All I ever want, is to find ways to express kindness to every person; no, every creature, I encounter. I haven’t ever said that before but it’s been true for a very long time. The reason I’ve not said it before is that I was afraid. Just realized that tonight so I’m here rect...

^You really made my day :) I never thought anyone would understand. Thank you! I sure can relate to this sentiment. I am so used to not being able to communicate my experience of the world to someone else, that it feels utterly surreal when someone 'gets it'. I'm really happy I could participate in...

I can relate a lot to your experience attracting people. I am a magnet for many people, whom I often have no interest in. I've recently had significant insights in many areas of my life; this is one such area. In the event you find this the least bit interesting... I've recently come to understand ...

Going through the process to get Disability is a lot harder than working! I'm sorry you had to go through all that you've gone through. Were you in Afghanistan or Iraq? Sorry for the delay in responding - I had one of those weeks yesterday. I actually was in Afghanistan, but well before the United ...

Everyone talks about toxic masculinity, and the negative effect it has on men. This brings up a good point - well, at least I think so. :) In my opinion, every inequality cuts both ways. For instance, a society that holds the belief that women are too emotional to become a head of state will also h...

There are some excellent insights into the topic already, but one I haven't seen yet is this: I was taught very early in life that the way I thought and behaved was 'wrong'. A corollary to 'AngelL is wrong' was that 'Everyone else is right'. So, when I enter into any type of relationship with anyone...

I live alone in Seattle, Washington in the United States. I began receiving Social Security Disability (SSDI) of $956/month in 2019. I applied for disability seven years earlier, in 2012, after my doctor told me to stop working for health reasons. Between 2012 and 2019, I lived on state disability o...

No. I wouldn't consider entering into a relationship with anyone much younger than me either.

This is a tough one. So many on the spectrum have matching comorbidities (i.e., ptsd, anxiety, adhd, etc.) that manifest similarly to autism. For instance, do I notice details because I'm autistic or do I notice details because I'm hyper-vigilant due to ptsd? I'm not sure there's an easy way to unta...

Is it true that many vehemently disagree with changing anything for illogical reasons? I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but this is certainly true for me. This may not be the best example but I pulled this example from the memory bin in a conversation with my occupational therapist two d...

I'm being more mindful this time now, notice triggers to binge and get rid of them and am trying to live in the discomfort because I think it is my body telling me that I am naturally supposed to eat less and my dissociation has stopped me from realising it. Also, I'm tired of my joint pain which h...
