No, that is reality.  Get used to it.

My bio- mom worked at a union closed shop job. When they went on strike they got results. She was on the local news holding up her sign. But this was back on the seventies when unions seemed to have more power.
Maybe people cared more or they were better organized.

No, that is reality.  Are you going to do anything to change it?

Back in the seventies, unions were more popular; if one union went on strike, every other union within the general area would either stage a 'sympathy' strike or at least honor the picket line (i.e., Teamsters would not make pick-ups or deliveries across picket lines).  When the UAW struck against GM in Lansing, even some of the public-school teachers from the adjacent counties would walk the line.  Nowadays, strikers would be lucky if passing drivers honked their horns and waved as they drove on by.

Nothing, unfortunately. Seems like lessons need to be learned for next time because until the concerns are resolved there's no reason to not expect a next time.

How can there be a next time with no first time?

The next time they announce something like this, obviously.  They need to do more than just set up a website and make an announcement, however; they need to plan, prepare, and drum up support.  Otherwise, it will just be another announcement of another non-event.

Consider for a moment that such a strike could cripple a countrys economy .
People supporting such actions , could easily be considered economic terrorists and bring the eye of the big brother upon them and any media campaigns that might occur as a result of such organizing.
The Political body Corporate could easily subvert these efforts .
Welcome to the 21st century .
Hopefully . There will be actual communication methods in place to be able to support such a General Strike . But this is merely theorizing .
Oopps did i actually submit this ......

Welcome to the 21st century ...
You asserted a hypothetical situation as evidence for a dystopian police-state.  This is fallacious reasoning.

am guessing this would relate to your level of experience with the police state . it has gone beyond
what was considered in the fifties and sixties a society of just and righteous / diligent people .
It seems that what once was , is not reality anymore . And denial from a armchair point of veiw .
And a private position of Security ...just doesnt support what many have seen and reported on .
This is not a speculative position . Just because it has not happened to you yet doesnt mean , it will not. Have seen people lose their homes, And have their lives destroyed and lost based on rumours
To this police state. But this hardly addresses all the issues that generated the BLM activities.
And mystery disappearances of protestors by . Hired mercenaries Reported on i n Portland Ore.
Have interacted with higher levels of law enforcement only to see these point of veiw reinforced.
Civil rights lawyers has refuse to be involved in any actions that might threaten their popularity
with local law enforcement , Cheif County Prosecuetors refusing to engage their minions . And
people whom have paid their salaries for years. Not being able to talk to them. Or allowed to engage them.

You post generalities that seem to have little or no basis in reality.  Would you care to cite some valid examples?

Insofar as being unfamiliar with a "Police State", I was in the military -- literally under martial law 24/7 -- and our current state of affairs here in the U.S.A. is nothing like that.

Have already cited examples in my post , But am not able to go into further details other than
what i offered . So you have me at a poor position to further validate . Some of the statements without going into more specific case numbers . Creating a breach of privacy for myself.
But some of the facts that have been written of above , were available from the local news in those areas. Much of what was written about Lawyers and Prosecutors are based in 1 st hand experiences.

Please do not make conjecture on what i have written .Or obfuscate , my meanings .
At no point did i suggest that we are literally under marshal law . Police state can mean a variety of methods of Law enforcement .. The most effective ones are ones that the average person is not aware of ... Surveillence State might have been a easier way for me to word this , but my experiences have shown to go far beyond that now . in Real life. Not to disregard your military experience or my own . Martial law experiences in the military are quite different that these i write about.
But these subtle situations have been used against civilians , With cooperation of the local media , these more specific situations have been squelched from normal news .
At least one case were a prosecuetors office victims advocate person was forced from her job there after 18 years for trying to make the prosecuetors office aware of some facts that they did not want made public . And Arrested her the next night " for making terrorist threats" and made a secret
" unspoken"plea, agreement for her to leave the state. If she kept her mouth closed . And they would not prosecute her . Obvious civil rights violation.
based on first hand experience . And i was made aware that this was not the only such plea agreement made by this prosecutors office . Involving the illegal activities by that office.
