Horror author Peter Straub has passed at age 79.

Wow just couple of days ago I watched him on Dick Cavett with Stephen King and others. Looked him up on wiki. Saw he was 79, and said "holy cow". I remember reading Ghost Story and Shadowland. And The Talisman and its sequel Black House, both of which he coauthored with Stephen King. And a collection of short stories. All of which was a long time ago.

So this is like something out of one of his stories. Totally out of the blue watch someone on a 42 year old episode of an old TV show, and the next day he's dead. I think Straub would find that amusing. Well I'm off to watch more Dick Cavett to see who I can kill next.
