Every so often, I have some sort of dream where the sun explodes.

Well done on your success story! It's inspirational and shows what we Aspies can achieve if we do set our minds to something. The potential is there!

If only a few more of our users here would get a more positive outlook. I'm not saying everyone can achieve the stratospheric heights you have, but can be the best that they can be.

It's not about "smartness". It's about interest, drive!

So many things in life, I've thought, "This is too hard!" but then, I always say to myself, "How hard can it be? I mean, It's not rocket surgery!" and then I have a little chuckle to myself and do it. I mean, if others can do it, then surely, I can too. I mean, it's not undo-able!

And after I've done it, I look back and think, "It wasn't that hard!" It just looks scary and undo-able before you start but even brain surgery looks and sounds too scary - until you tackle it.

You don't need the money anymore but would make a great inspirational speaker or writer!

What happens when the sun no longer rise nor does it no longer set,
What happens when the winds cease to blow from eastwards or westwards or northwards to southwards,
What happens when streams no longer flow down to meet the ocean and the seas become filled.
What happens when all the stars in the sky have flickered out out of existence and simply are memories of persistence?

If the sun blew up right now, we wouldn't know about it for 8.5 minutes later because that's how long it would take light to reach our planet.

Yes, that's quite true, yet that shall not take place at least, for several billions of years from now.

Speaking of which, did I mention this?
I don't know if you'll be able to access it (because it's on eBay Australia) but I bought this:

Space would begin its collapse, bringing all matter and energy together into a single particle at a single point, where it would remain in a stable state until the weight of space begins to compress, until eventually it destabilizes and explodes, starting the cycle of reality once more.

Yes, I was able to fully access the link and was intensely amazed at the telescope you purchased, growing up my older brother & sister both had telescopes of high end caliber, yet I never had one myself; rather glad to see you have made a wise investment pertaining to a favorite fascination of yours.
